1. From 4 cylinder engine to 3 cylinder engine... 2. From 89 BHP to 81 BHP... 3. From 113 NM of Torque to 112 NM of Torque... 4. Looks are polarizing, and the previous generations were much better in terms of looks 5. Prices have increased even more despite the downgrades!!! 6. Safety is a story for another day People can chill, I'm not a particular fanboy, it's just that in every aspect I see, it only appears like a downgrade. Maruti only focuses on mileage and practically speaking nothing else.. One can get an Ignis or Baleno in the same price range which has more power and 4 cylinder engine, and the Baleno has much better build quality, features, comfort, space and my friend told that Nexa dealerships are much superior compared to the Arena dealerships PS: It's not an issue if the car is downgraded in few aspects, but the asking price is much more compared to before, and I reckon the Indian bound Swift won't be as pleasing as the European or Japanese ones in terms of build quality and safety...

No I never liked the 3rd gen model. And many low budget buyers also didn't like the design that's why it didn't sale as much as 2nd gen. Sales of Swift 3rd gen were down due to it. Ppl prefered Wagonr instead of Swift due to its bad design. Design failed mostly due to rear door handles were given at odd position.

Maruti has improved the safety rating of Swift and the compromise for that is extra weight. 4 cylinder engine se milage par asar hoga. Isi liye 3 cylinder is good. Any engineering product will have compromises, especially a budget friendly car like Swift.

I have driven alto K10 for 10 years. When new the 3 cylinder engine will feel smooth. Once your car ages, the car would vibrate a lot more with AC turned on and when you wait in traffic. We need to see the same in this swift once it is 4-5 years old. So I decided to get a 4 cylinder within my budget so got a baleno. The main reason why I didn't go for tata altroz/nexon

The old Swift and Dzire with the 1.3L DDIS engine are always gems. I love those engines. I have completed 1 lakh km on my Dzire, and it's still running buttery smooth. Saw the new Swift on road,I have to say it looks soo good so stylish,the design is very classy like European cars,very refreshing to see this design rather than too much crome,too much styling cues and the most boring connected tail lights which are taking over every car,this Swift will become extremely popular,the first Baleno had this kind of styling simple and classy now Baleno got too many design changes that make sit look ugly,this Swift has clean and classy design that all people will love

3-cylinder in general cannot give continuous power delivery like the 4 cylinder and there are gaps in power delivery due to which there will be automatic jerking issues in the long term as the clutch wears out a bit.

No brother.. u r not completely correct.. Let me explain u my point of view.. 1. If Maruti increases build quality like Tata, then it will effect Maruti's first n major selling point, that is Mileage.. 2. Improvement in build quality would obviously increase the Price also.. 3. Maruti also need to improve their design language where Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra are bit ahead.. Especially, interiors.. Means, though the build quality is increased, Tata will still have a selling point with them.. Both the brands are having their own pros and cons.. Build quality is not the only con for Maruti.. People choose options according to their taste, requirement, knowledge and availability.. infact Tata is slowly rectifying their negatives n getting better in sales, I have never seen Maruti is trying to get better their negatives, instead they are working towards making their positives more stronger, like increasing mileage year on year by compromising on build quality.. just my view, not favourable to any brand, coz Im not the owner of any of them, at least not owning a single share also..😂.. no offense..😊

Sir the door closing thing which you mentioned is not due to poor quality. I had the same issue in ciaz . Its the air lock inside the cabin. So try the same thing opening all the windows. It sill close correctly. Only the last closing door will have the problem. For instance let us assume the front two doors and one of the rear door is closed and the other rear door yet to be closed while closing that you will have this air lock effect where the door doesn't close properly but you need to apply more pressure to close the door. This has nothing to do with quality.

If the door is heavy enough it will have the momentum required to pressurize the car cabin and still close the door properly. So it has to do with build quality.

Modern 3 cylinders are well engineered and balanced. 3 cylinders are catching up to bigger engines because 1. Easier and cheaper to maintain 2. Better mileage 3. Easier to manufacture and follow industry regualations 4.Good for environment ( less emissions, better mileage means less fuel is consumed by car owners ) 5. With current inflation and costs ,this is the sensible option Everything is not about showing off . Buy what you can afford ,sure . but if are showing off with a 30 lakh car ,then someone else has a bugatti so dont act tough 😂 And if you have a bugatti then you are not hanging around thus commen section

Maruti does cut cost, I own Baleno MT top model, it doesn't have occupancy sensor for rear seat passenger, It will keep beeping if you don't buckle seat belts at rear. I don't know how many lakhs it will cost them to provide occupancy sensor based on weight, Maruti decided to cheap out on sensor and be a pain for customers for 10 to 15 years of ownership, well that's expected from cheap brands like Maruti, none of car review websites will say you about this problem.

Zxi plus 10.35 onroad hai.. Isse far far better exter hai with 4 cylender engine,suv, some extra featurs like sunroof cool glov box, peddle shifters, leather seat, ambiance blue light, sharkfin antena, tpms system, digital mid, primium interior roof material, center cabin light ye sab 10.30 me exter me aa jaega but swift me nahi to koi suv lega na hachback kyu.
