Dolby is for surround system, which is 5.1 and i dont understand why they keep saying that this 2.1 dolby??

Dude most people are confused about this .. U have heard Dolby 2.1/5.1/7.1/10.1....etc 2.1 = 2 represent speakers and 1 represent sub woofer/sound bar Dolby 5.1 means u can have 5 speakers and 1 sub woofer supported. Surround system is technology which it is supported if u have 2 or more speakers.

@@AkshayPi No u r wrong. Surround itself means 360 degree which should consist of 6 channels. Right, center, left, RR and RL and Dolby/DTS are algorithms that are used to compress the 6 channels so that its file size remains low. Its the duty of ur home theater or Receiver to decode the compressed 6 channels and send it to each speakers. So tell me how can the 2 speakers and the 1 sub woofer (which is only a low pass filter signal) can attribute to a 6 channel ???? It simply doesn't make sense. For Dolby/DTS set up u got to have minimum 5.1. If they are telling the 2.1 is dolby surround its simply a pseudo virtual surround, its nowhere close to the actual 5.1 setup.

Don't buy Motorola sound bar..... i Recently bought motorola 80W 5.1 sound bar because it has HDMI ARC support that fits to my Vu 4K tv ,but after buying i found that these speaker will only use prologic to convert 2.1 to 5.1 but not original 5.1......so to get real surround sounds you need to connect it to 5 pin Analog input(red,white wire).... latest tv will not have that analog output....LAST THING... these soundbar(except 160W) will NOT support DOLBY.........Useless

@@_ra__h hi...I've connected the home theater and am playing with my firestorm with blue tooth... Pro Sound clarity and loudness is excellent Bass is excellent too...max vol is 31 but in my living room I can put sound till 21... Cons The remote is very poor... No connection wire given like Hdmi or optical...only RCA to 3.5 mm jack given.. I am very satisfied...at 6k its a steal...hope I am able to clarify ur doubts
