I think it's also important to talk about the quality of software support Motorola is offering and how it treats it's flagships. Promise of 3 years of Android updates is great, but they will take their own time with it. Their current flagship, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is still on Android 12, with no committed timeline for Android 13, while they are launching and advertising newer, lower specced phones with Android 13.

I have always had a soft corner for Motorola. My first proper smartphone was Moto E. Few years later I even got the Moto X Play. But my experince as a consumer of Motorola has always been let a down because of it's after sales services. At first, I thought that shortage of spare parts or screens were a problem because I was living in a small town. But I have shifted to multiple cities since then. Yet, whenever I had a problem with a motorola phone. It was always a frustrating experince in the Service Centres. Be it Kolkata, Khargar or even Bhubaneshwar. Whenever I had to visit a Service Centre for any issue, Lenovo Service Centers never ever had parts or a quick solution. As a result, I shifted away from Motorola. I love their phones and the stock android experience but God forbid if anything goes wrong with your device...

Hi Ranjeet sir, in the review, I request you to kindly include a section of how this successor weighs in against Edge 30. That Edge 30, I believe is still good champ. Things about Edge 30 that still shines for me: Weight: 155g vs 170g Processor: Snapdragon Processor (Especially SD 778g+ & not the normal SD 778g vs MT 8020) Edge 40 shines in comparision: Camera: Horizon Lock IP 68 Rating. (Does E30 come with any? Sorry I forgot) Things I can ignore: Display: Flat vs Curved Battery: 4020 mAh vs 4400 mAh Charging: 33w vs 68w Android Version: I guess I'll miss out on one latest version, if I choose to go with Edge 30. But, I am used to custom ROMs and 3 or 4 years down the line, my new purchase (whether Edge 30 or 40), might mostly be my secondary phone. So, i wouldn't worry about loosing out on 1 official OEM major update. Things I am skeptical about: E30 had that uMCP5 storage that combined the storage & memory onto one chip, giving better performance & battery life (that you had praised very much), which appears to be missing on E40. & the memory seems to be a downgrade from DDR5 to DDR4, while UFS 3.1 stays. But also, it's 128 GB vs 256 GB. Which one gets the edge here? Can you uninstall the GApps that you don't require on Edge 40 or at least disable them? E30 had 10 bit display. What about E40? Price difference without any promotions or discounts: E30 is retailing for 23k I believe. E40 come at 30k. Considering all the points with 7k price difference, what's the best device to invest on, sir? Edge 30 or Edge 40? I am sorry bring verbose. But kindly cover the things in your review. Thank you

What we have generally noticed in the previous smartphones that Mediatek processors start lagging after a year or a year and a half....unlike Snapdragon processors which never lagged (in my experience)....so what's your opinion on this?...has the quality of Mediatek processors improved over the years...or there are chances that this one might start lagging too?
