Motorola G62 5G Review || Is This NEW Motorola Worth Buying??

Thanks for the review, really useful. I really like the SIM free Motorola phones, but it's becoming increasingly difficult to figure out how they number the releases. Just ordered one of these, should be a nice upgrade from the G8 Plus which has served me well the last few years. Cheers!

Does Moto only do 2 years of updates? (security). That's pretty dire. What's the headphone quality like?

Motorola have never been known for loads of updates, especially on lower end phones. I used a cheap pair on wireless earbuds I've had for over 2 years and it was great!

@@ashdoestech thanks for the reply. And the review was very informative. I'm using an LG v60, brilliant audio with quad dac and 3.5mm headphone socket on the bottom. But updates have stopped. My wife's iphone had 6 years of updates and it still works fine. My earbuds are removable so I can put them on 3.5mm cables, lightning cables, blue tooth earhooks. They're 10 years old, quad drivers and sound brilliant, especially with decent audio sources (Apple music on my android phone sounds way better than Spotify and is the same price. And I have my WAV pcm music library on an sd card making it easy to put in devices with an sd card slot without having to pay for another 258gb on board storage. Two years and throw away seems very wasteful, money and environmentally. Trying to find a phone with decent audio quality on wired, 3.5mm headphone socket and SD card slot is getting harder!

Motorola g62 looks like a solid allrounder and the snapdragon 480 processor is bettter than a 720g processor so performance also is petty good for the price.Loved the review,Cant wait for your next video.

How sure you are that the 480 brats the 720g?

@@francohic i apologize for the mistake,Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 has a AnTuTu benchmark score of 265481 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G has AnTuTu score of 281212. Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 comes up with 8 cores, 2000 MHz frequency and on the other hand, Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G has 8 cores and 2300 MHz frequency.Its close to the 720g not better I guess.

@@ashdoestech well sorry my bad lol that was the normal 480 i was talking about the 480plus 5g that's on the moto g62 has an antutu score of 350252🙂so it's better than the 720G.

Great honest review, bravo! I am thinking about buying one of these phones in Australia. This would be an upgrade from my well-used old LG Stylus DAB which has served me well but is now oh so slow. I notice that the screen has no notification LED light to tell you that a message or other notification has been received while the screen is locked and off. Is there a light for this function that I am missing? Any advice gratefully received.

Thank you! Unfortunately no there isn't a notification light on this phone. It's a great little phone, I really enjoyed using it. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you went for it. Definitely should be an upgrade over what you have 😊

I’d personally go Motorola for the stock android, with no ads in the software, 120hz display. I didn’t find any lag at all in my use

The speakers on this phone have proved louder and clearer than the Samsung Galaxy S22 at £769. The speakers are there for really good for a £200 phone.

Just bought one for 179, love the phone, responds well, sound is awesome for a phone. Lasts well into two days , last phone lasted only a day or two with minimal use, this one lasted 3 days with still 24% left. Got more use trying out the bits and pieces. Overall love it!

Forgot to add the WiFi is pretty good. On 4g managed 10mbs good signal 5g 60mbs with a really low signal!

Yeah it's a great phone! I'm tempted to keep it, which I normally don't with the phones I review 😂. Can't complain for the low price. I've no issues with WiFi, my signal on Vodafone is up and down all the time so it's about normal for my network

@@ashdoestech Thanks for your reply. Just for info, we ended up getting this phone for my husband yesterday. He is with EE and it does have the WiFi calling option available but I do think it's dependant on the network you are with and whether they support the wifi calling on certain handsets or not. Pleased with the handset so far, especially for the price!

Just ordered one of these to use as a second device for GPS in the car, music, burner number etc. I always have the trouble here in Australia when it gets into the hotter months that my Iphone likes to dim the screen when it gets too warm in the car cradle. And ive had issues in the past with samsungs actually screen burning the oled.

My apologies, I misread. I actually preferred the G62 overall. You’ll probably get more power from the M23 but I prefer stock android to One UI and I think the camera is better on the Motorola
