I've had this phone since the release date and LOVE it. My previous phone, a Samsung Galaxy S8, was purchased at full price, kept in a case and was pristine condition....and then it just died suddenly without notice and couldn't be repaired. I am done paying so much for expensive flagship phones. I went to Walmart the day this came out and got it for $130. Works better than my Samsung and with an SD card, has tons of memory. I love that the cost of this entire phone is less than most repairs cost on a lot of phones. If this one dies, I won't be so upset. I'll just go buy another one. 🙂

Thanks for another great review Kevin!...All said and done the Moto E 2020 is really impressive. Who would have thunk something in this price range would include a chipset of this stature (have same in my G7 and although older I'm completely happy with it), a 3550 mAh battery, and from what I've seen the cameras are way above par for a device in this price range. My only personal downside is the 2GB RAM but can't balk at that too much as again price price price. Nope I've been super impressed w/Motorola as of late and they've managed to capture my attention, so much so my new Moto G Power will be here tomorrow morning - 5000 mAh is all I need to say WOOHOO!

Compared to 10 years ago, there is no such thing as a budget phone anymore. Without the knowing the actual numerical specs, nobody is going to feel a real substantial difference between a $1000 phone and a $100 phone.

Thanks for making this man!😀 I am currently in the market for a new phone, and i am not trying to pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars just to have cool phone status. I don't really do a whole lot on my phone anyway. The last phone (and current phone) I got was a Samsung galaxy note 3, and I have had it for almost 7 years. It has done well during its time. Every time I could have upgraded I decided to resist to save money. Now it is starting to slow up a bit and I need to retire it. So the Moto E sounds like it could be the right thing for me since I don't need for my phone to really do anything too fancy. Keep up the good work! Best, Marvin :-]

i have been using the moto for a year now and i can say that this phone should be used as your daily use phone. this is more of like a use as a secondary backup phone kinda phone. This phone lags a lot from time to time. apps take a lot of time to load. not only that 32 gigabytes isnt enough for a phone that comes with a 14 gigiabyte software. make your diescision wisely

@@thundercookie7235 I ordered this phone and it will arrive this week. But every phone I've owned (Android) from 2015+ if you have a MicroSD card inserted there is a option where to install or moved your apps...choose MicroSD. Just do a google and you can get a 128GB MicroSD card for $20

when I press up or down right side volume keys, two bar menus pop up. One is for volume and the other has a person icon. What's the person icon for? When I increase it or decrease, nothing happens. The icon looks like the accessibility person icon.

@@lostintime8651 Not sure if you got a new phone or not but my aunt had this phone and let me tell you. It is amazing. I own the Note 20 but when I took a look at this one, it had a great camera, the selfie camera is decent, the speaker is great and its pretty snappy with doing regular stuff. I'd recommend it. Look at the Samsung A01 if you want better cameras

I have this phone and I really like it except for two things...1) I cannot adjust the loudness for the notifications, which is barely audible, and 2) the camera flash function is horrible. Photos are completely washed out and faded. Otherwise, the battery life is fantastic and the wider screen is very nice. But, if I can't hear the notifications or be able to take photos using the flash, it's of no use to me.

That speakerphone review was nice. Speakerphone is important for people working and talking at the same time. I'm a technician. Loud speakerphone is important.

I've been trying to Google it but I can't find anywhere it said a disadvantage to have a micro USB as support and charger for this phone as in having a type c connection it's better in every shape of form I just want to know before I buy the phone if the micro USB thing is going to be a problem with charging the phone

Could someone please help! It may sound dumb but, how do I use backspace while dialing a phone number on the keypad? I have an e5 and I'm trying to give Verizon my new card number... "Press 2 now to enter your new number.. " I press 2. "now enter the number... " but "2" is still on screen, I need to get rid of it before entering my card number. The user manual doesn't cover this... anyone?

I've done the same thing with my LG rebel 4. It it started to give out, no more updates for it so I bought a Moto e 6 back in May and so far it's worked out great. Back in the old days (2014) I had the 1st one. (Moto e) after it broke I bought another one off Amazon .

Just bought it to replace my LG Stylo 4 cuz the charging port is messed up, it tells its charging slowly and my charger cable doesn't have a good grip on it anymore, so can't wait to try it out

I never had a serious issue with the old micro usb other than wearing out the charger plug. But my usbc melted down one night on the factory charger, fortunatey I woke up in the before it caught fire. It was dangerously hot.

@@MARHVINXII the Moto E 2020 has a SnapDragon 632 processor that offers the best performance for $150. It's relatively smooth when browsing the web, watching KZbin Videos and playing light games like Angry Birds. The battery is pretty solid, I'm getting around 7-8 hours of screen on time using KZbin and Streaming Apps. It takes around 100-150 minutes to fully charge. The cameras are decent, it takes good looking photos in good lighting and may even exceed expectations. Portrait Mode I solid with a decent separation. Overall, it's the best $150 phone and definitely better than the LG Aristo 5. Hope you enjoy your new phone!
