Do NOT pull up on the battery the way shown! Instead, use a card or something to separate the adhesive from the battery without bending it. Bending a lithium battery can cause it to fail and to potentially even explode (though you do need to bend it quite a bit).

Very handy video, thanks as helped me replace the wife's smashed screen and digitiser with a £19 replacement from China. Only issue is on the mid frame section, one of the screws is actually in the top right hand side near the finger print scanner. Not a major issue but I was scratching my head for about 5 minutes. Thanks for saving me a bundle team fixez.

YES! My power button is loose after 2 DAYS of owning this phone! I found another repair video for a G4 and it looks like the external button merely rocks over the small button on the edge of the motherboard. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKLHqKiLZdRmjNU The external button itself appears to attach via 2 small posts to the external housing/case. I actually think the button is not broken, it just came loose from the little posts holding it tight. I have repaired many laptops, and have all the tools, but MAN! Repairing this looks scary, plus I would not know where to find new buttons if needed. I wonder if you can buy non-working G5 phones to practice on?
