what is the difference between XPR3500 and XPR3500e? I have a set of 3500e but they need to be reprogrammed and they are as well UHF.

I own the very same model. They are fantastic little radios. The Talk Permit Tone (TPT) can be programmed via the CPS. I have mine set to only chirp when I am on a digital frequency ("Digital Only"). Hope you guys find what you're looking to invest in.

Hi there. I believe I am the one that posted a rather awful comment a few years ago. I would first like to apologize I didn't have the knowledge I do now about radios and whatever I wrote back then was probably not true. This is a great video and the radio is an awesome one. Once again I am sorry and I hope nothing I said offended you or anyone here.

Hi Dave, all is forgiven. Thanks for apologizing, it's rare these days for someone to do that especially online where it can be so easy to write words and hide behind our screens. I don't claim to be a radio expert myself but am glad this was helpful!

I may just be a random person on the internet and you dont have to believe me but I will own up to my mistake. Did you ever sell this radio? And did you get new ones for your department/company?
@nathanbrown84875 жыл бұрын
@@Dave-ji1hv I really respect that. Integrity is rare!! Yes I sold the radio and ended up making 20 bucks or so on it, and we did end up getting a brand new radio system for our squad. It was a big deal for a small, all volunteer and student run EMS squad. I'm no longer on that squad because I graduated but from what I hear from people still there the new XPR radios have had zero problems, a huge improvement vs. the old early 2000's era HT750s we had.

@@nathanbrown8487 so this was for a college EMS squad? That's awesome and it sounds like you and your team are deserving of new radios. Dont get me wrong the ht750 are awesome but outdated. XPR3500 was a great choice

@ vhf and uhf is not compatible. You can’t talk on a vhf radio to a uhf radio. VHF and uhf are two different frequency splits. Example: VHF 154.000 vs UHF 460.000.
@JellyPies2 ай бұрын
@TREYRYANBELL I have the exact radio in front of me right now, used for fire department VHF frequencies, and municipal communication. The antenna also says VHF right on in. These radios do support both. The only change the user has to make is the antenna. They sell both UHF and VHF antennas for this model.

@@JellyPies the video is about a UHF XPR3500 that someone bought but needs a VHF Model. You commented and said “This radio is VHF compatible. Im saying A VHF radio is not compatible with a UHF radio as far as the XPR3500 are concerned. I have a XPR3500e UHF for Law Enforcement frequencies myself and all I’m saying is I can’t talk to the fire department on there VHF frequencies it’s not compatible. Just because you put a UHF antenna on a VHF doesn’t change the band split of the radio.

Can you tell me what you would want for it, please? Also, could you send a picture of the tags under the battery compartment? Thanks!
@nathanbrown84879 жыл бұрын
+Roman Robles I would accept $400. The radio is in fantastic condition (as you can see) and it is obviously a UHF radio. However, I will warn you in advance that the cord included with the charger is not the right one. The seller I bought this from screwed me over in that way as well. A new replacement cord can be found on eBay for around three bucks. Luckily, the charging base that was included is the correct one (which is the most important piece). I'm not sure how I could get you a picture of the battery compartment tags--maybe you could add me on Google+?

+saucermonkey320 do you mean scan mode? It has scan mode, which allows it to listen to all channels simultaneously and transmit the one that has activity on it. You can also give certain channels priority so that when there is activity on those channels it automatically transmits it first.
