Thanks so much for all the info. Just got the phone and initially didn't like the gesture stuff instead of the traditional Android nav menu at the bottom. After I got comfortable with it, I think I like gestures better now. Easier to do one handed, and doesn't require as much dexterity or accuracy of finger presses. Love the flashlight gesture!

Love this video. My phone is fairly new.. I've found some of the customizations and tips you put out here, but some I had not heard of. So glad I could get the 3 buttons back at the bottom.. as I hate that swipe up thing all the time. Also loved that I can change my keyboard theme and add the numbers on the top. Would LOVE an entire video on just using the camera! Or maybe a question and answer video.. so we could ask.. and then you could do a video to answer the questions. I see alot in the comments already! I also don't know how to use this phone as a hotspot.. and my camera pictures, when I take a scenery shot, all look almost like a cartoon! I can''t figure out what is going on.. for close up shots, they look fine, but distance.. nope.. a real bust.

Thanks much for taking the time to do this review. Just got myself this phone this week. The only feature I'm having a hard time with is the wrist twisting to quickly open the camera. I saw you struggled a couple times with that. So, I decided to set up my power button with the 2 clicks to get this working for me. This phone is heavy enough and I don't want to bust my wrist!! :)

Can you help me understand why when I create a screensaver using a photo from my photos, why the picture is blown up instead of looking normal? It looks like the picture is enlarged rather than normal. Is there a way to make my picture look normal as a screensaver, rather than enlarged so we only see 1/4 of the picture? I had the Nord N10 5G, loved it, specially how you can customize it. Got stolen so now I got the A51 5G but something is missing, maybe the fact that I can customize it and how the face recognization is fast on the N10 instead. But this Moto Ace 5G calls my attention cause of the customization. How are the specs and which one would you choose out of all 3 5G phones?

All right I have a question I just bought this phone and I upgraded my plan to the uncapped unlimited plan or whatever that is I think it's like 60 bucks a month or 55 bucks a month or something anyways brand new Motorola one I just bought it never says that I'm running 5G and I can't find anywhere in the instructions or anything that tells me if it will display 5G while running 5G because the only thing this phone is displayed since I bought it is 4G LTE with a little blinking symbol beside it

The tip I was hoping for was call forwarding and voice mail extending the ring time etc. You can start with vibrate but the ring is too short and you can turn the phone over to silence the ring. So many options. The moto x had a nice display for notifications but these phones beep but what phone beeped?

The camera shortcut gesture works if done right. It's not a flip up & down of the top of the phone. It's a rotation/spin of the phone.

Yes, I was going to say this. Imagine that there's a shaft going through the phone the long way, as if the phone is on a rotisserie or like a revolving door. A quick double flip along the long axis.

It's doing things that I don't want and it won't do things that obviously want to do. As for the Google Assistant you don't have to touch the phone at all because it works with the phone being locked. But I prefer to turn it off because Google is what runs down the battery. You can go to assistant voice settings and then turn it where you can use it while the screen is off

The "chopping" gesture to turn on flashlight can be done another way as well, so instead of turning the phone to the side n using the double chop motion, you keep the screen facing forward(towards your face) and just give it a little quick shake back n forth....it is essentially the same method but doesn't have to be facing sideways and isn't so exaggerated, if that makes sense 😁

You can go into Settings, Accessibility, scroll down to Accessibility Menu and turn it On. Now you will have a little dude in the lower right corner you can tap and change the volume that way...

When I play my game (as well with watching KZbin) my screen gets darker and darker. So what I have noticed, when I shake or tap the top of my phone it gets brighter and brighter. What setting is that under? I already adjusted the brightness and it still does the same.

Adaptive brightness. Shut it off. Brightness will vary depending on the environmental light.

The battery % setting doesn't work on mine :( instead, it puts the percentage number inside of the battery, and it's so incredibly small, no one I've shown can actually read it. If I do the short swipe down, it shows the %, and it's even on a black background. But the whole idea is to see the % without having to click or swipe 🙁 Not even a tech support person at Motorola could figure it out.

@@CryptoCopilots Not sure, it was some neoprene one off amazon and it felt nice to use but the phone would not respond to gestures and it would darken the screen like the phone was held to my ear during a call even when it was not. Changed cases to a different manufacturer and it has had no problems. But new case is rubber. Honestly I think the "neoprene" freaked the phone out and made its sensors think it was being held weird. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ easy fix though.

So what you there's a neat trick that you can try for also screen time on longer without it being on a charger, course with charger you know you have to go into developer mode to turn that on, but to leave the screen on longer without adjusting the timer is you could just have it stay on my noticing your face and that's another Moto action you can do
