Motorola T900 Talkabout 2-way Pager, sending email, menu browsing, alert tones

Taking a look at this vintage Motorola pager. There is no active subscription on it but here is how you send a page or email from it.
These videos are made for educational purposes and to preserve some footage of these devices that will disappear in a few years.

You can, they still provide service for 28 dollars a month. You can text and email normal phones.

Dam I had this same pager 2001 alot of people didn’t have it yet and when I use to pull it out people would be in awe sad these didn’t take off that well because the cell phone came that following year

In USA you can get service if you make a contract with companies that still provide it

It would be nice if kids carried something like that instead of smartphones. It would fulfill the purpose of emergency messaging as well as planning with family members but without the social media and other needless distresses.
