It really great to see bike manufacturing is taking a serious look at the smaller end of the motorcycle world. Being honest I do like it and I hear you about the space at the top of the engine and how a 450 would be nice, but let’s face it with today’s world you have to ask yourself. Do you need it ? If you buy this class of bike I really don’t think you have touring in mind, not that you couldn’t but there are better options out there in my opinion. It brings to mind that old saying “something for the weekend?” Thanks for bringing these reviews and although these are my thoughts and comments they may not apply to everyone.

Seen this video last week and searched UK for a dealership with a black and gold model. Everyone said all sold out but one. Found one with 2 in stock and a white one. Drove 110 miles to sit on it, no test drive available, but absolutely loved it.. collect it tomorrow. That gear change better be smooth😜

Great episode Mark. That looks a decent bike and it has drop dead gorgeous looks, but, (you knew that was coming didn't you!) I want to see a rear mudguard (fender for our American friends) just like the scramblers of the 70's had. It seems to be a current trend to end the bike at the end of the seat nowadays. They just don't seem finished. As though they said "Nah, don't need it, leave it off." Does any one else agree? Or am I on own on that one?
@motorsforthemasses
@motorsforthemasses 4 жыл бұрын
I do here you and a short rear mudguard might work in terms of looks too, as well as practicality. At least an option could be available, like for those available for mountain bikes (just bigger).

Great review! Finally a scrambler with a proper exhaust! I want this bike, really bad! I comment on other bikes that are called scramblers like the Honda where the exhaust system goes straight to the bottom of the frame. Dang, I got a HERO on my mind. So cool 😎👍

Didn’t know what Bullit used CFMoto built engines. I nearly got a CFMoto bike last year.. I hear good things about the 800s, I guess they use the KTM 790 engine. Been waiting for the 250 to come out. The 125 was nice and tall, aggressive and looked great! Disapointing that the 250 looks smaller has lower seat height! It also looks a bit less aggressive and weedy than the 125 when you were riding it. Disappointing as i like a tall bike, being over 6ft so that has put me off! Might that be the new frame I wonder?? Performance seems ok and great that you can sit at motorway speeds, but at over £4000 it's way too over priced for chinese 250! To many compromised to tempt me to part with my hard earned cash just for a bit of fun on a weekend, but a nice bike all the same and a fab review. 👍

I have the bullit 125 and love it!! I have been waiting for this video for AGES. I am so getting one and glad that bullit kept the styling and looks of the 125, and transferred it to the 250. Are they bringing out a different colour range? As I have the hero in grey which I think is the better looking one? Thanks guys! I think it looks good but, Bullit motorcycles always seem to look far better in the flesh and the sound of that exhaust at the end, mucho Bueno!!👌🏿 I would definitely get one and that was a good review. The drone footage alongside the bike whilst riding could have been longer and the inclusion of all aspects of the bike would have been nice and the bike on the stand with a 360 drone view would have been great at the end of the cinematics at the beginning. Keep up the good work fellas and stay safe. 😁👍🏾

Love it but that speedo is a deal breaker for me, too many cameras round my way to get confused with looking at that clock, my eyes could not read those tiny mph figures so would have to fit maybe an aftermarket dash, but the bike looks and sounds perfect dare i say way better looking than many out there and 250 is ideal for me i love my 125s but gets boring at 50 in a headwind very quickly.

I like it - a lot. There are quite a few bikes (mainly 125) that try to pull off the scrambler look - with varying degrees of success. This one seems to have it spot on though. What else is out that's 250cc? Probably the Mutt 250 is the one which springs immediately to mind. But that's really roadster-biased. Also, it's air cooled too

Not my style of bike but really good to see the smaller manufacturers pushing into the mid sized market, give the big 4 Japanese something to think about. If Bullitt did a 250 or even 400 version of their Spirit cafe racer I'd take a SERIOUS look at that.

I would question the quality of finish. Check out the frame welding @ 4 min . Front m.guard woud'nt do much guarding at all and nothing at the rear end and no fork gaiters as well. Plz. make the ABS switchable. Are these on the option list ? For the oil filler- the tool kit should come with a flexible plastic straw :) Other than these few bits very nice looking retro Scrambler. Next a 450 would be a winner. Great presentation, good job. Thank you.

Very interesting. I'm looking at getting a bike after not having one for 20 years. I'm 58, 5'11'' and all i'm looking for is something for the A and B road twisties from 30-70mph in the summer months to blow out the cobwebs and put a smile on my face. I've owned a lot of bikes from 50cc to Tiger 900i and had the pleasure of riding a Pan European at work (yep I had that job :) ). I love big trail bikes, but don't really want the power anymore. I was thinking KTM390, but it feels a little small for me. Perhaps this with a set of more road biased tyres would be perfect. I'd be interested in your thoughts. My mum lives in Oulton Broad so i'll have to come up and pay you a visit.

When you don't have a gear indicator you'll go for the next change of higher gear even though you're on top gear. Same with Bullit Hero 125. I hope the radiator on 250 would screen the electronics behind from the rainwater. In Hero 125, which is an air cooled engine, all the electronics under the rear of the fuel tank were exposed directly to wet weather on the road and the waterproofing of electrical parts are terrible and could feel the bike hiccuping, sneezing and eventually limping. 125 has bad vibration issues. My exhaust guard next to the calf came off while riding on the road. The tail light wire-joints broke while the cover was sealed and intact. After three years, one of the cluster of wires under the key ignition switch broke due to turning of the handle and completely switched off the power supply.

I had all the same issues with my bullit hero 125. Had the engine out twice &ended up putting a complete new wiring loom in. As it would not start. Would rather have a motorbike with a carburetor. All the sensors &wires are just more things to go wrong. I ended up drawing out the complete wiring diagram,to try &diagnose the starting fault. Keep riding &feeling free

Take the cat off, put a bypass pipe there and open up the exhaust, fit a better air filter and gain power and help the motor.

Different styles of bike, 250 more low end power, better looking, better sounding, more fun off road.

Thanks for a good honest review. I'm a long time classic biker and have a 1965 BSA trails bike and as I now need a commuter these new scramblers appeal.. I've seen your Mutt 400 Scrambler and you seem to like both very much. As there's not a lot of difference in price between this and the Mutt 400, give or take a couple hundred depending on dealers, which would you choose?? I imagine the 250 cheaper on insurance and fuel but I want a relaxed ride.. I'll be covering maybe 30 miles a day both duel carriageway and country lane. Cheers

Thank you, I assume you mean Mash 400, out of these 2, Mash is a smoother ride but the Bullit is more fun.

@@motorsforthemasses ah yes I did mean the Mash.. typing on a phone! By fun you mean more flickable? The Mash has the legs on the 250 Hero Bullet surely?

Is there any option for a different exhaust? And/or can you remove the "lid" at the end to get some more noise out of it?
@motorsforthemasses
@motorsforthemasses 3 жыл бұрын
You can remove the plates yes and change for a Scorpion exhaust.

Wanted to book a test ride at the nearest place to me (tallington) that sells them no joy though...shame as it looks like a nice bike not spending 4k without having a go on one though. 😐

Bullit's own website describes it as having an 'air cooled" engine. Is that an oil cooler we can see then? Or is there an error on the website? Stop press. Just looked at your video on my lap top instead of my phone and noticed the lack of cooling fins. So it looks like the Bullit website is wrong. It is a dinky radiator though.
