I would call them mini cars... from memory they run a 1300cc motorcycle engine, sequential box - (not sure if 5 or 6 spd?) Fully adjustable coil overs & disc brakes.. all up about 600kg I think! seen em a few times now, & yup... freakin' cool, u should see em' go in the wet!! lol

luke watson i could tell they were bike engines and sequential boxes which is awesome in such a light car. they sound like hyabusa motors. wish we had these in the states

Folks, these are largely hand made cars, and weight less than 500 kgs (half a tonne). They are made out of tubular steel and the body shape is largely a matter of preference and also aerodynamics. The engines are 1.2 litres, so no Hayabusa engines okay. Just look up www.aussieracingcars.com.au/ for details of the cars, drivers, race schedule, etc.
