Damon Hill my favorite sportsman ever across any sport. 90% of this is down to how he carried himself under extreme national and international pressure because of his father. Damon is a great champion in his own right. The peoples champ. Comes across as a really friendly guy too.
Oh well. The new-regency of F1 no longer contains or listens to sensible men of wit and character like Damon, so F1 has now totally disappeared in all but name, and to all but those who can be told what to watch, what to fear, and who to worship via algorithmic suggestibility. The Halo is the ugly and inglorious crown symbolic of the trickle-down conformity and bureaucratic hubris that these ghostly events represent. Those who linger on at the end of a phone line, their faces pressed up against the glass of a device, are spared the nuisance of walking freely amongst spectators, and those who fear genuine, unbridled competition are told that, with a few waves of a regal regulator's pen, it can all be made fair.

Love when Damon speaks about Ayrton he is such a gentleman, a very polite person, love him he is one of my biggest inspiration : ).

Next time they interview a world champion they should get an interviewer who has a thorough knowledge about driving. The words used to describe active F1 cars are "initial floatyness", "delayed grip", etc. Not these kindergarden questions of which GP's were won with it. That can be found on Wikipedia. Then again MM was never known for in depth, delicious bits of previously unknown knowledge.

This is the only interview I have ever seen where the camera is behind the guy speaking ????

I'm reading his autobiography - "Watching the Wheels". It's a really good read!

Does the cameraman not like the zoom lens for the people that are speaking?
@Neat228 жыл бұрын
+SirSneakerPimp Hi there. Just for info, there is no cameraman - it's a locked off camera just to add a little something to what is essentially an audio recording intended primarily as a podcast, as indicated in the title. My time is spent during the podcast, after starting the camera, ensuring the quality of the audio recording. Hope that explains things a bit.

Amazing how much the guy remembers when you compare to the Senna trial...
@paulmurphy99028 жыл бұрын
that went to court and was proven the steering shaft was inferior and broke after the car was not re checked after the modification was done

That's bullshit what Damon said about how Senna died!!
@SachaSommer3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, how would he know. What does he know about racing.

@@SachaSommer I agree with Hill. I've watched the videos from all angles and it looks like a typical oversteer/understeer tank slapper with the backend stepping out. The Williams in early 1994 was a dog of a car.

Its the most plausible explanation to me, that car was known to be difficult on the edge early in the season, even before the senna crash.
