Let's see....monoshock rear, not retro. Giant honking radiator with chrome strips on the side to make it stand out, not retro. Giant, bloated, tortoise shell gas tank, ugly. You can have it.
@KB-yj5xp5 жыл бұрын
@@brianholdridge5243 It is clearly retro styled, its not a 70's duplicate but a modern retro styled bike, and probably the nicest best one out there. I understand looks can be subjective but from all the reviews I have read, negative comments about the looks and styling are almost non-existent and this is the first time I've ever heard someone call it ugly, but thats why there is more than one style of bike out there.

i was fortunate to experience the w800 as my friend had one. if you havent ridden one, do yourself a favour and dont underestimate it. im well over 100kg and it was lowered front and back and accelerates beautifully and at 65mph it feels like its only doing 50. beautifully balanced, sweet sound, and handles just right.
@Jimbo-in-Thailand5 жыл бұрын
@Tim Newman - Yeah, I road a new 2017 W800 and it was indeed a great bike and gorgeous. It was a dazzling dark metallic blue with lots of chrome and really looked like a 1960s British bike... except that it didn't leak oil. Haha! It was smooth, handled well and certainly wasn't an overweight behemoth, like many in this video. It also sounded really nice, although a bit too muffled. Gotta admit I'm shocked to see the new 2020 W800 has horrible graphics and looks freakin' butt ugly. At least under the ugliness it's a great bike.

Here in my country we do not have Moto Guzzi, which has an incredible design. For all the tradition it brings, and especially with this color, I am going for the Kawasaki z900 in 2020. The Royal Enfield looks awesome, although the Interceptor model is clearly inspired in the Honda CB 400 f of the seventies. I think Honda should do the same as Kawasaki did with the z900 and bring back the CB 400 f retro design ASAP.
@DregorousTheCrow5 жыл бұрын
RE Interceptor is inspired in the RE Interceptor of the 1960s. ;)
@42much15 жыл бұрын
@@DregorousTheCrow I guess I picked up the wrong model, it is the Continental GT which looks alike the blue/red/yellow CB400f of 75/76, at least in design. But I have never heard about the RE of the 60s so you may be right, it could have been the other way around.
@RickyJr465 жыл бұрын
The first Z-1 I ever saw in person was a metallic olive green with yellow pinstripes, similar to the 2020 Z900RS. Nicely done, Kawasaki! Now please do away with the fussy three-piece front fender, or at least color match the pieces.
