Yeah, I'm guessing the car was pretty unreliable or sold really badly

@@katieadams5860 There wasn't a reliability issue...it just didn't sell well because the Caliber in general wasn't well liked.

A set of lightweight 18x9 enkeis, 275/40/ZR18s, EBC brake pads, DOT4 fluid, a 300 whp tune, and wavetrac lsd can make this car very capable in the modern era. From my experience at least. Think what you will about the CSRT4, it doesn't bother owners of them. I call it "The Minivan" all the time. We see the potential of this platform. I just found it to be a cost effective autocross car with added utility. Already went camping with it twice this year. Had more than enough room for my date and I 😁 Bonus that it's easy to work on, easy to get in and out of(Important as a 6'4" mutant), and has aftermarket support. I spent maybe 5Gs CAD total on my red '09, $2800 car included, for something I could daily or track it a few times a year. Life is good! Enjoy what we drive.

People make fun of this car because it was slower than the Neon SRT-4, BUT it was built far better than any Neon ever was. The Neon was a death trap in any accident. Almost garrantied death.

You could say that about Any old car. Nobody that bought those was buying them for safety. That’s not what they are for. The “Neon” SRT4 was faster, handled better and looked way better. My problem with the Caliber is the looks. I don’t think this should’ve been a car to get the SRT treatment, but to each their own

I had a Stage 1 2009 Caliber SRT-4 with 300 HP and it was a blast to drive. I really wish I had it back to day. Such a fun car to drive and very practical too.
