Once had a 1994 XJ6 and I loved it. Mine was surprisingly trouble-free, and the engine was just the best-sounding thing ever. Absolutely purred. Sadly those cars are fading away, and they were just advanced enough to need some serious equipment to diagnose and maintain, yet Jaguar no longer supports them if you run into trouble with certain items like the security module.

Nice review of the xj40, but man some of them are known to have bad electrical issues. Especially when you get told how hard they can be to fix or even try to keep them going on the road, but overall they are beautiful cars.

They're great reliable cars until they go to America. Where the mechanics have neither the skill or knowhow to maintain them. They then fall into the hands of trailer trash who can't afford them.
