This was the year Audi really dropped the ball, with a crap turbo 4-banger & Direct injected engine OMG !! Makes me sooo glad I own the ) 08' TT 3.2 Quattro port injected & natural aspirated.

Sure, go BMW if you want to blend in with all the other bland 3 series driven by every boring businessman out there. They're great cars, but the TT is awesome.

Your comment makes no sense. The TTS is an AWD Sports Car, and the 3 Series is RWD Sports Sedan. "Awesome" is highly-subjective and any intelligent person will tell you that since there are MANY ways to configure a 3-Series, they are no more commonplace than one's wallet will allow. I wouldn't bother applying as an Editor at Car & Driver anytime soon lol

@@1970borntorun lol they’re still commonplace. If you want a unique car that you don’t see often on the road, a 3-series isn’t great for that. Wonderful machines but not scarce by any means. @Jeremandre bhp and torque is not the only factors in any race, perhaps you should consider the power to weight ratio, the handling of the car, and over all performance of a car. Now take that same car and put it back on the streets. tt vs impala? ouch, so lets recap, in a drag race ss vs. tt rs, tt would win, over all looks? tt, livability tt. Sadly you have made the first mistake of buying that car, and secondly bragging about buying that car, the tt is more expensive then your car, worth it.

With the new A5/S5, I can't see the point of this car. Nobody can complain about the style of the A5, while some find the TT too feminine. THe A5 is more practical too and has more standard features.

It looks like a compressed VW beetle with Miata sized cuteness. The engine is to cab forward in design and the back seats are useless even for a toddler. Audi makes very nice cars but this car is too cute and the price would deem it more for fashion rather than performance. If I pull up to an Audi TT I expect a spoiled trophy wife or daughter driving it.
