I am generally not a GM fan but this is an excellent car so far. I just saw it at the Northwood Auto Show and I was impressed. The pricing is not bad on it at all and the car overall looks pretty high end.

car and driver tested it and got 6.7 seconds to 60....other publications have gotten as low as 6.4 seconds...more than quick enough

@metop33 I also think the Toyota Avalon is the right comparison for LaCrosse; the engine is 3.5L V6 with the most fuel efficient fuel economy for a V6 that I've seen 20 city/ 29 highway. It's acceleration is a tad better - see Motorweek's test here on KZbin. It's also about 300 lbs. lighter. The 4000+ lb. weight of the Buick LaCrosse is mainly for sound dampening which is Buick's trademark.

Get ready for the LaCrosse's eAssist coming next model year; I saw it at the Indianapolis Auto Show. It has the possibility of Highway Gaw milage of 37 MPG .

I won't get silver because it is the least visible color when it's raining. Think about it, when it's raining the sky and the ground are both gray. So if you're driving a silver car in the rain your car's color might as well be called "urban camouflage".

Hopefully the 2012 version with 303 HP will be quite a bit quicker... These are the worst numbers I've seen so far. Other tests have it going 0-60 in 6.4 & 6.6 seconds and running the 1/4 mile in 15.0 & 15.1 @ 93 and 94 mph. I know every track and conditions are different, but that's a pretty big difference. It should have had 303 HP from the start in 2010 which is only 1 HP less than the CTS 3.6 DI... Just my opinion

My 2010 3.0 V6 bought from gym manager at 145k miles, now still running at 210,000 miles 😮, only major issue was getting a new Radiator (of course look at the mileage) and the replacing the Purge Solenoid ✅️

Ok, new Lacrosse 24.5 overall mpg, My 2000 Pk Ave Ultra 24.5mpg. If I run a stead 60mph, it returns 31mpg (true). Oh yes, I now have 228k miles on it, on original water pump, timing chain, fuel pump, and all orig hoses. Did replace front Bearing Carriers Assy (suspension) at 188k (rt), 228k (lft); Steers like new. Starts absolutely instantly. Oil Pressure is: 72psi cold, 35psi warm idle, 62-65psi hot on highway. Complaints, none really.

I know exactly what you mean. It's the general styling trend these days. The overall height of cars is much taller than in the past, as is the belt line. This really restricts visibility. It's impractical and I don't think it looks good at all. Just makes car look chunky. Hard to make a chunky car look sleek and sexy. This new Lacrosse is proof of that. When I saw one up close in person, I was really dissaopinted it followed these trends. The belt line is stupidly high.

@metop33 Remember, this LaCrosse doesn't compete with the Camry. If anything, the LaCrosse competes more with the Avalon and several early entry Lexus vehicles (ES 300 series). Also, the Camry is about 500-700 lbs lighter than the Buick.

@76carmel True, LaCrosse is heavier but if you want to compare it the Avalon or ES 350, LaCrosse still can't match acceleration and mpg. I think LaCrosse is a nice car but for the price it's not worth it! My tip to people who are really considering purchasing the LaCrosse is to purchase it when it is a year or two old with super low miles, that way you can save 10-15 thousand dollars from new but it still looks brand new w/factory warrenty still. LaCrosse doesn't have good resale value.

@Z34teen I'm normally not a fan of most GM America cars...but this car is VERY nicely equipped, looks pretty good, goes very well, sounds pretty nice, and has an EXCELLENT price point. This is totally unexpected from a Buick to me (I'm 30). I don't know if these come with a manual option, but this is a very very surprisingly good car. Great job to GM, now all they need to do is bring back Pontiac which had very cool cars near the end. (and Saturn did too!) Kei

My brother had an early 2010s Cadillac CTS with the 3.6L V6. For some reason, it was in the shop more than he could drive it. Total lemon. Unfortunately, from what I gather - any brand can have their bad batch. EVEN TOYOTA! Crazy

The basic 3.8 that has been established for decades as indestructible has been replaced by an overly complicated, turbo-charged engine that will break down more often and be way more expensive to fix...oh happy day!

No, no, no. I mentioned Hyundai. Although Hyundai's Equus 2010 existed earlier in Korea, the car was introduced in North America this year. The lights come with ultra high tech gas lights not found in Buick.

@metop33 remember it's not a race car or sports car, but either way those times are not "slowwww" by any means. If you pay attention the next time you leave a stop light you'll see that most people very rarely go from 0-60 in less than 15-20 seconds...time it and you'll see. If you start getting to the 8-10 second range you hugely risk getting ticketed for excessive use of speed/aggressive driving. Quicker than that and it gets much worse. Suddenly 15.9 isn't so slow to hit 90mph...... Kei

Everything you say is TRUE, but GM really is making some excellent products right now as well. This new LaCrosse is a shining example. GM needed to be doing this 10 years ago, and their worthless army of middle mgrs should have been shown the door 20 years ago. You don't need 6 layers of mgrs to make great cars! If they cannot wise up and learn from Ford and some of the import companies they are truly doomed...

every think red was ....but really silver is .....cause you can see any marks in the paint over a darker color .....like for say....if car got in a wreck........silver would show better .....with dark color .....it tend to hide the fix.......old body shop trick

Color me unimpressed with the exterior styling which copies a Lexus in the rear, has skimpy hard to see out of windows, plain unprotected side doors and this car is the worlds heaviest mid size sedan. The trunk is puny at 13.3 cu ft, the tilt steering wheel doesn't go up high enough, the mileage sucks and the base low torque 3.0 liter V6 lack off the line power. I like the new Taurus much better and it starts out cheaper by several grand!

@Kamukix dude these days 15.9 is slow case closed! My 07 camry v6 does the 14.4 1/4 and has less hp than this crappy buick. For me, I like the best of both worlds...power and good fuel mpg for my everyday car. So that is why my camry is a good choice for me!

Ha the other video this car was getting knocked for being slow but it had the 3.0L......the 3.6 gets the job done way better. The ecotech will suck ass tho i cant wait to see them with all weel drive i will buy one of these used 3.6 all weel drive after a few years fo sho

Buicks in general have a great reliability record, and mine lived up to it. It was an '07 I got with 30K miles on it, drove it to about 100K and never had to fix anything. Just oil changes and regular wear and tear like brakes and tires. It was a great cruiser, very well equipped and pretty sharp looking, imo.
