8 years gone. MotorWeek should test these cars after 7 years as used cars!☝🏼

Beautiful car inside and out, timeless design, about a second slower to 60 then a 328i or 330i, BMW is 5.2-5.6 depending on the publication, but make sure you get a warranty, the v6s are more reliable

I'm guessing that the reason why this particular Mercedes-Benz is built in Alabama instead of it's native Germany is because of the lower labor cost offered in that particular region of the U.S. whereas the workers in Germany would demand too high a pay, so the company had to find a way to be efficient in production and build quality cars at the same time without being bled dry. Am I right ?

For some reason, Motorweek keeps reviewing lower end models of new cars. The C300 is not the performer the C400, C450 and C63 are. Nothing here surprises me, especially given the absolutely stunning amount of work MB has put into the W205. My only real objection, besides the fact that my 6'0" height makes me a tight fit in the C Class in general, is the iPad-ish entertainment system in the center of the dash. The C300 is a great daily driver for the person looking for luxury, efficiency and reliability, not to mention tech and safety. Want performance? Go up the chain.

The lower cars are reviewed because that’s what will sell more. Those more high performances models will be tested by Chris Harris 😂

You must trade one for another. More performance, Handling , all that, the car must be wider at its lower half , and narrower at its upper half. Physics , 101.

I'm not impressed. The 180 hp 328d xDrive did 0-60 in 6.4 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 14.7 seconds @ 96 mph.
@solomonshv9 жыл бұрын
well no shit Sherlock. it's a diesel engine and it is has a ton of torque. and it also costs more.
@lfsracer799 жыл бұрын
solomonshv 61 hp less, only 7 lb-ft more torque and the base price is slightly higher.
@solomonshv9 жыл бұрын
i was under the impression that it has around 300 lb of torque. oh well. still, they have the same amount of torque and weight about the same. so they should accelerate about the same. horse power doesn't mean much in a 0-60 race.

Aren't these assembled in Alabama now for U.S. market?
@TylerF35A9 жыл бұрын
***** Any other stereotype you'd like to dish out? And yes, these are being assembled in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

***** Just answer the question, yes or no...Are you from the U.S.?
@TylerF35A9 жыл бұрын
***** I'll tell you this. A LOT of people in the U.S. drive pickup trucks. A LOT of people in the U.S. love country music as well. I have family in Texas, who drive Pickups AND love country music, and they are hardly Hillbillies! Only idiots have sex with their sister, and they are far and wide. It's very dangerous to assume all people from Alabama are that way. It's simply not true. I don't deny that there are people there that match your description, but there are very few of those people. And especially if you're not from the U.S., or haven't been here, you'd be surprised. The South is know to be very religious. In fact, TOO religious. If not that, absolutely crazy. The general consensus is that the region is full of "Bible Thumping, Gun Touting, Right Wing Extremists" (says the communist left), but in reality, The South has actually been traditionally known for their hospitality and work ethic. Tuscaloosa, Alabama is a perfect place for Mercedes-Benz to construct their cars. France Based Airbus Industries is also opening a plant in Alabama, in Mobile. They will construct the A320 family of aircraft there. You seem to be English. I'm very fond of the English, and I wouldn't let people here go off on how they "have huge front teeth, play cricket and drink tea all day." No disrespect sir, just making sure you don't generalize.

This is one of the most repulsive looking Mercedes ever, with the CLA being the only thing more hideous. The roofline is ok, but the front and rear look like melted wax. I like Mercedes a lot, but this is no 500/540K, mid 50's 300SL or Bruno Sacco design-worthy Mercedes descendant. Hyundai and Kia have better styling.
@lyndon848810 жыл бұрын
how are u gonna compare a Benz with a Hyundai or Kia if you like -Kia and Hyundai so much go buy one. its totally different class of cars. like night and day. and kia and hyundai are fucking ugly. if you cant afford a benz get off this page. LOL
@lyndon848810 жыл бұрын
***** doesn't matter where its built its still a mercedes.. if you think what you drive was built where u think it was then your prob. wrong. still german parts and just humans putting them on. so what difference does it make
@aaron.hudacky10 жыл бұрын
Lyndon Bishop For any price point, I think this Mercedes is hideous and does not uphold the brand's identity in a manner that is remotely successful. I could afford one of these, but there is nothing aspirational or unique about this car. It's a boring, V6 powered sedan, and the fact that the powertrain technology and styling are comparable to far more affordable cars speaks volumes about the amount of work Mercedes needs to invest in this model to make it competitive. The only stand out feature is that it represents a rare but major styling error for Mercedes Benz.
@aaron.hudacky10 жыл бұрын
***** I agree that making this car in Germany would be more appropriate for the brand. It is unfortunate to hear the build quality is not very good on these cars. That would at least be one positive attribute. I love Mercedes and am disappointed to see them making mistakes that will haunt their image and reputation for many years.
