My Compass is very nice and all the people admires his strong but beauty design, is very comfortable, with a very efficient engine and a transmission very imperceptible, the exterior noises do not listen in the interior of car and I can speak normally with the passengers, at last an adorable vehicle.

It was an OK car I give it that but it was never really meant to go off roading like going on trails so it was pointless to make the Compass.

They had no choice but to make this. CAFE standards from the government require each manufacturer to achieve a certain mile per gallon average across all their models combined. Jeep was never going to accomplish this with inline 6 and V8 4wd drive suvs. They had to come up with a few front wheel drive cars to get the numbers up.
