have an 08 with 97k and all I have to replace are the coils. Regular maintenance as instructed , as for a semi talented DIY person it's easy. Get the roof sealant oil for it so it will not leak (watch video on here how to treat eos seals) and do it at least 2 x a year regardless. THAT IS THE KEY ITEM. MUST HAVE !! Purchasing the tools sucks. torx bits......but worth it.

Which tools were they? I understand the Krytox lubricant/oil but is there another tool required? I am getting a 2012 EOS !

Do you still have your Eos and has it been reliable?

Do you still have your Eos and has it been reliable? I'm looking at an 09 manual transmission with 76K miles.

How reliable are these, long term?

They have timing belts that have to be replaced ($700 job at my local mechanic, VW wanted almost $1k), the auto transmissions are dual clutch so they need fluid changes more often and the fluid is more expensive, but my 2008 Eos has been reliable so far at 125k miles. No power hardtop issues ever surprisingly.
