A previous video stated they carry twice the amount of fuel for the crossing. My assumption is the cost of fuel is cheaper in the US and Gibraltar than it is in the European ports around the Mediterranean due to taxes and supply. So top up when you can on the cheaper fuel.

Obviously it did not happen in this video but having watched some previous videos I am curious at what seems a high turnover rate of staff on the boat. I am guessing it is the nature of the industry. Still, seems surprising there is not more loyalty to staying on one ship. Seems you all get along and would want to keep cruising together. Is the churn just part of the business?

When you do a crossing, is it ahead full? Or is there a more fuel efficient speed you are using when on a long voyage? Or do you adjust speed as seas allow? thanks.

We cruise at best economical speed usually around 1400RPM which does about 12kts depending on sea state
