If they painted the brake calipers gold to match the front suspension and a few other small parts i think that would have really set it off but I could be way off. Having built and rebuilt a few bikes I´d say make sure you learn from any mistakes and avoid repeating them. That exhaust ain´t a pretty sight, but not many could have made such a neat job It´s our mistakes that teach us, so my maxim was "I try, and I fail: I try again, and I fail again -- BUT I FAIL BETTER ! I hope to hear more about it when you get it road-legal and take it for a blast. Good Luck !

That steering extension is definitely suspect, and did you realise you were drilling into the air-box when you were mounting cdi ?..rings dont like metal filings.. seat-frame mount would be strong out of tube, not flat, otherwise a great build
@motow193 жыл бұрын
So far Extension is working great as it doesn’t have tons of pressure there because most of weight is at bottom bearing together with upper and drilling was no problem since we used a vacuum to suck everything plus we cleaned all air box prior to starting. the bike came out 10 times better than original, well done
Hi Guys! Great job! The bike is super nice! I'd like to ask how did you find this exhaust? Did you build it yourself from scratch? If yes, can you build one for me? I have a 1982 XV920 and I need an exhaust. Another question. I’ve noticed that you are using an M-Unit in your construction. How easy is to insert it on the old bike? Did you replace the rectifier/regulator and ignition coils too? Did you rebuild the whole harness?
@motow193 жыл бұрын
@Aldo Bega thank you!! Look for Spyramoto on Insta he builds the best pipes for these bikes in my opinion and yes the Munit is the way to go we made a complete new harness and had to use ricks rectifier for lithium battery and we used original coils. So links for harness diagram and other parts are in the description. Thanks!!!
