Our RTOs and driving schools also are big culprits. Driving schools bribe RTOs and they in turn do not perform their job rightly. No signal test; just need to move the car in first gear to get license. First and foremost this should change.

Anna pls talk about below points. 1. Sensible parking in city roads 2. Parking practise during vehicle breakdown especially in highways 3. Responsible parking for pickup nd dropoff mainly autorikshaw and buses. 4. Reduced usage of honking. 5. Effective usage of Maps while taking new routes as it gives headsup about curves, junctions etc 6. Not recommended to ask co passengers to guide us as they tell abt turns at last minute resulting in diffucult lane change. 7. Try noticing the sign board instructions and drive cautiously. Anna pls reiterate about sensible parking again as I heard abt multiple accidents recently due to insensible parking. An accident in Krishnagiri resulted in 3 deaths.

More points that cross my mind 1. Coming in the wrong direction that too with high speeds 2. Fused head lights and tail lights ( difficult to know two wheeler or four wheeler during overtaking at night drives) 3. Cattle crossing the road and many more...

In most of the highways the bike lane is occupied with sand, metals etc..which creates unsafe for bikers as well. Sometimes breakdown vehicles or people taking break will park the vehicle. Sometimes when big vehicle overtake wrong side (left) they make bikers to go down from the road.

What you said about Sri Lanka is extremely true. Went there last November on vacation. The traffic rules are followed to the T. 1. Both the rider and pillion wear helmets. Pakkathula kadaiku poradhu naalum they wear helmet even for a two minute ride. They don't complain at all since they are used to it and know the idea behind such laws. Naa keatta appo they said fine is 5000 in Sri Lankan Rupees. Currency convert panna it's like Rs.1700 INR. Inga vida fine amount adhigam but they don't complain since they don't have the habit of causing traffic violations. 2. Pedestrian crossing la without a doubt you can cross the road. The incoming vechicles do slow down, stop and do wait until the people are done crossing. Adhe madri people stick to pedestrians for crossing, chumma nenaicha edathula lam they don't do jaywalking. 3. Wrong side driving, triples and minors riding bikes is completely unheard of. 4. We were staying at family friend's house. Appo I asked for their bike to drive within the street (yup, my mistake). Andha country ride panna proper license illa nu venam nu sollitaaru 😅

Great talk. Appreciate your constant efforts towards creating awareness on safe driving. Mohan is right about red bull. The biological mechanism is such that once the caffeine effect wanes, sleep hits you all of a sudden. In my experience, I find it distracting if co-passengers chat up a lot so I tell them to be normal and only ensure if I am driving properly and staying awake 😂 I also ensure that I do not drive way beyond (say 1hr max) my usual bedtime

Excellent points both of you . One additional point sir , in roads without median many private air buses ( not all) come in opposite side . This is one of the reason for major accidents . Salem to Ulundhurpet road is one classic example . Even though government has put some pipes in road but still I see lot of bus itself coming in opposite side

Great video Anna, the other thing I wish to point here is the Highway Barricades in cross sections (especially during night drives), Govt has to take steps in differentiating barricades of which one is at front and which one stays back. we have 2 or three Barricades finished with red and white reflectors finds hard to judge especially at cruising speeds. just denote in future videos if this finds useful. Maybe red reflector as first and green for the back one may be a good point for making the variations. I'm saying Green due to RGB color identifications.

Boss, in 8 way lane, a bike was travelling in the opposite lane that too right most lane (road is turning right and it's a bridge section [perfect blind spot]). The person in the correct lane will not be able to see the person (biker) coming opposite as the road is turning right. Since, the recommended speed as per the sign board was followed, was able to navigate the situation comfortably.

Iam from Udumalpet bro I got my both 2wg & lmv licence in the year of 2012 with the help of driving school. Kannan Driving school Udumalpet he used to explain everything thing before taking us to car and he has class room sessions also bro he'll teach sign board and other rules via videos.

When I checked with lorry driers, they are telling that most of the two wheelers are using left lane. So they have to switch between right (or mid ) lane while overtaking a two wheeler. When I checked with two wheelers about why they are not using two-wheelers lane instead of left lane, their response was some vehicles are using two-wheeler lane to drive in opposite direction.

More than two-wheelers., lorries atrocities have increased drastically. On highways, Lorries which are below 50km/h will be on the right lane which directly impacts the on-moving traffic. More the lorries on the right lane, the more vehicles jammed on the road. This makes driving very annoying and results in traffic jams, mileage loss, and other vehicles that couldn't follow the lane rules. This must be taken into a serious issue and must be resorted as soon as possible. Proper driving classes should be taken for heavy vehicle drivers more than the light vehicles.

Main reason for heavy vehicles picking right track is, left lane many times occupied by two wheelers and sudden incoming from left side. That’s why they try to keep in right lane.

Not that you are unaware out of your driving experience bro but in my little experience of highway driving the reason I see the truck drivers drive on right lane is to avoid bikes and auto rickshaws that protrude and come into the space for them to drive and any such sudden protrusions will disturb their vehicle stability due to sudden steering input and that would cause an accident, because lot of times when I try to overtake a truck on the left side the factor that causing me to break is a two wheeler driving in the middle of the road .

You have mentioned trucks going in right lane. In my opinion they are doing so because two wheeler menace on the left lane. Big trucks cannot manage sudden intrusion of 2 wheelers if they drive on the left lane. That is why they drive on the right lane.

4) my point is new drivers should one twice time doors are locked properly , IN old vehicles with out auto locking facility cars some people who drive first time with L board make mistake yet they forget to close door correctly ,many times i alert cars they stop cars close door properly.

In Chennai most of the cars are running left and this video mentioned asir one point is real. That is car is not allowing mid of both front and back car , Here want to think two wheelers can't balence at corner of the cars here car suppose to leave space or depends the road size sure biker will injured , if car having 1 lane biker having 1 lane mean , dame sure biker will go calm and reach place earlier without road rage and finally 4bikres can run in the space of 1car.

HI anna both are doing great work on discussing on responsible driving , at time 9.29 Asir anna question answer as my idea bellow This is my point to responsible driving " is it possible a car app could detect actual traffic from any mapping app and give feed back to diver as{{ voice note or warning symbols }}to maintain speeds upcoming traffic on the roads before in close radius of 3 kms or less then 1 km, of exact road crossing is it possible ? " , ADAS FEATURE ONLY IN CLOSE RANGE IF but i mention above visibility unknown roads in hilly terrain like land slides or slow moving of vehicles ? 2. how much AI needed responsible driving in cars more than ADAS control ?
