The Commodores is one of my favorite R&B/Funk Bands of all time. I always felt that The Commodores weren't the same after Lionel Richie left the group, but they did win a grammy in 1985 with "Nightshift". My favorite songs by The Commodores are: "Brick House", "Easy", "Three Times A Lady", "Celebrate", "Lady", and "Saturday Night"!

The main reason why the Commodores were successful was because the Motown brass had the foresight to let them do what they wanted musically.
