The Beatles sang it in German, because they played in Hamburg.

Actually, they recorded it in German, because Germany did not allow to release the record unless it was in German. The Beatles made this and Sie Liebt Dich reclutantly. Nevertheless, they did a great job for the German versions of it, and, indirectly, they gave a stereo version avaliable for She Loves You.
