Let´s put it this way. ATYD is a nice story, from the point of writing stories. Cursed child isn´t. Cursed child on the other hand is written by a transphobic women, while ATYD presumably isn´t. I don´t know who wrote it, or ever how to gender that person, but I don´t think the person that wrote it is transphobic.

I mean I know Bowie wrote it and I believe I have a basic understanding of his sexual history and his what they used to call gender bending dress mode and all of it but if there's an actual "story' as such, I'm not familiar with that And then there's the fact that I've sort of assumed a narrative about what it's about just organically on my own and which has nothing to do with gender just more literally the celebration of youth, it's idiosyncrasies, flairs and foibles, where dudes is just a word that fit. It probably could have been all the young spoons or something else. I've always been able to appreciate an in-joke without having to have been in on the joke itself. But then again I also understand that it might have been very time centric and very britcentric for lack of better terminology. Anything you could tell me even if opinion, I'd be interested in hearing. I suppose I should add that the appeal for me of the song while overwhelmingly musical, because I always thought what I thought about it's content it's made Me burst out crying while laughing more than once
