I feel like i am the only 1 who has found these in the wild, since haven't heard anyone else find these 2 on any social media, even the toy habits website on their masterverse links doesn't show a walmart link of these 2, very odd.

Nah there's nothing to worry about, as a retailer this literally happens all the time. All it shows is how terrible Mattel are with their distribution. They constantly oversell to suppliers like EE and then have to cancel orders when they can't fulfill them. I notice that your cancelled item was the pack of 4, however they have the individual items in stock 🤷🏼‍♂️

I've still got Rattlor and Kobra Khan on Preorder from Big Bad Toy Store. I preordered back in January when this wave was offered for Preorder the second time around. Still waiting on them to receive them. They haven't sent any cancelation notices yet. There are still origins figures that I'm missing from the collection. I'm missing all of the non retail exclusive figures except for Grizzlor and Space Sumo. As far as traditional retail goes, I'm missing the Sun Man 3 pack, Tri-Klops, 200x Evil Lyn, LOP Mer Man, Rattlor, and Kobra Khan.

@@RJackson300 King Hiss pre-order is on EE for $24. The EE cancellation was for order of the entire Wave. You can still find the individual figures in Wave 11 everywhere. Including EE.

None of the Targets in my area ever received the wave 2 reissues. I looked and asked for others to keep me informed if they ever did receive shipments of wave 2. They just keep pushing that wave 7 junk (Buzz off, Sorceress, Stratos, Jitsu). Those wave 7 figures should have been discontinued a long time ago. They are just not selling. Neither are the Leech or SNout Spout figures. The pegs are busting at the seems with all those at my local Walmart stores. Rotons and Stridors too. They need to get busy putting that stuff on clearance or shipping it off to Ollie's Bargain outlet's across the US.

Got the same crappy email from EE yesterday. Pissed me off because when I inquired about the progress of getting this in-stock and they assured me in February that they would be in by the end of March. I held out on their's because they had the US version. Missed both versions at BBTS. Gamestop shows pre-orders for Rattlor, Kobra Khan, SA He-Man for 11-23. I would think these will get canceled, too.

In regards to waves not showimg up on shelves, I think they are, but certain waves just sell out quickly, and they'yre just not being replenished. So, I think it comes down to the production volume for particular waves. I think they overdid the intital wave one release, and maybe pulled back on wave volume after that. It's frustrating because you expect to have availability like it was in the eighties.

Weirdly those four figures are still available to pre order on EE individually. I did so just last night after I got my email about the cancellation. Not sure how this is going to play out but it can't hurt. All the stores near me are still flooded with the Jitsu Origins wave so the chance of seeing anything new in them is next to zero.

It's def more EE seeing the stuff sell, placing a new order, but Mattel just having bad distro. Wave 11 was out for a while and the cancelled order is for the sealed box of the complete wave. I don't think the individual figures will be that hard to come by. King Hiss and thunder punch He Man were also discontinued but people don't seem to have issues finding them. I am getting nervous thought that I waited too long to preorder wave 12 and will not be able to find tung lashor

I doubt we'll see more of wave 11, but there are places where you can still purchase them. I got lulled into a false sense of security with having pre-orders on EE; lesson learned I guess. I've picked 2 of the 4 so far elsewhere. Hopefully I'll be able to get the other two. Really wish we knew what was up with Duplico. Mattel really needs to use some form of communication channel to the fans and collectors.

That's a big nothing burger and honestly Jay you read too much into a standard form letter EE uses when they update product listings that were never going to be restocked. They always default to restocking status when stock runs out and this is the form letter they use to notify consumers it would not be available for restock when they update inventory. For myself, EE is not a preferred carrier for most things because they're typically the last to get anything in, and are months behind updating their stock availability. Mattel didn't do anything here. That's all on EE and the way they run their site.

But there are countless products over countless years of service with them I know first hand only have one run to them because of their production volume and distribution. In EVERY ONE of those instances where EE ran out, they stated "restocking soon" often months after the lines had been publicly discontinued or retired. So its absolutely a pattern of communication that is unique to how they run their site.

But you don't have to look any further than Figures Toy Company or Mego to see that restock default consistently plays out, only to be changed to sold out. Bottom line, EE announcing they can not restock a wave in a series is not an uncommon occurrence and doesn't need to be given the treatment like the manufacturer suddenly made that decision. Most waves like Origins are going to have a built in volume of availability for online merchants. And once that stock is exhausted, there won't be additional runs. So the fact Mattel sold out of their existing stock is actually a good sign they're meeting demand at the manufacturing level. Jay posting a " DISCONTINUED" sign on his video is twisting a standard manufacturing term to give a bit too much theater to a standard occurrence. And before he gets people worked up, some context needed to be applied here.

Agreed. Mattel didn't do a good job of marketing at the beginning. There's a huge love and loyal following. If Mattel just do online ordering people will buy no question. Mattel must go deeper now such as making filmation and comic book characters. Like they have done for the classics line. This way will keep the origins line at least 2 years.

TBH EE has done this before in the past. They seem to have very limited stock on MOTU items. When EE and BTS put up preorders for a second run of the She-ra wave EE canceled saying they had no inventory but BTS kept theirs up. I think this has more to do with EE than MOTU.

They discontinue skus every year. It’s tax season so sku was discontinued and orders cancelled. They also stop production on waves to start production on new waves. Seems only MOTU fans freak out as they send these cancellation notices for Transformers and Marvel Legends waves all the time too. Production cycles are only about 6 months or so.

This isn’t just a MOTU issue, distribution for all lines has been ass for the last decade. Figures rot on selves chocking out newer figures, or the shelves are empty. I think Mattel and Hasbro are trying to push action figures to all be online only.

Honestly, this is not the first time that I've had things just randomly cancelled by EE. I ordered my case of wave 11 back in October of '22 and got the same email last night. The weird thing is that they still have the figures up for pre-order individually (outside of a full 4 figure case). This has actually been happening to me all to frequently lately with orders I place at EE. I kind of blame them more than I blame Mattel. Over the past few months I've had three items cancelled from my orders at EE. I've never had any items cancelled from BBTS. I don't see this as a coincidence. To be honest, I'm pretty much done pre-ordering anything from EE now. I just don't trust them to actually fulfill my orders anymore.

Outside the US, yes for sure. Not in the US though, I have had almost no trouble relying on BBTS/EE/Amazon and other online sellers. Got wave 11 from EE way back, a sealed fresh case. Wave 13 is now redaily available. I've been caught up for weeks including Duplico. You definitely need to stay frosty

What the hell Mattel? I pre-ordered wave 11 back in December. A lot of people still don't have wave 11. Wave 10 is still in distribution. I just got Snake Armor He-Man, Bolt-Man, at retail. Rattlor I just ordered for a little above retail. Cobra Khan is not as much a concern because I'm happy with the Camo Khan figure. Hopefully Mattel gets their heads out of their rear ends on wave 11.

I was worried when I first saw sun-man, as I thought it would put the toyline at risk. I just instinctively thought that it would be hard for origins to carry both sun-man and mini comic re-paints. One is bad enough, besides it's a knock off toyline most people hadn't even heard about, and as such won't have as many people buying them. Just a supply and demand thing, and quite frankly - not that much demand for it, and with this it now seems I was right. If I look at wave 12 and 13 then out of the standard releases, there is only 1 figure, Tung Lashor, that was actually in the original toyline, which the entire thing is based off of. that's 2 waves of low demand figures. They are trying to course correct with wave 14 having sssueze and spikor, but I honestly don't know if that is too little, too late. Right now we are in a situation where everything left needs a unique mold, and it's roughly 10 figures left. I think it's obvious that they needed to start pushing unique molds earlier, either that or simply not do the sun-man thing, as that might just mean that we won't get all the original figures.

Duplico yes happy about about that. NOT Happy about ANY discontinuations, with the original 80's series I spent the better part of 2.5 years hunting down Faker. It was tough because I wanted that particular character so bad that I almost made the mistake of NOT buying other figures while they were available, Tri Klops, Trap, Zodac, Beast Man, Merman and the list goes on.
