The cooler is insulated. The outside can get really hot quickly but it'll take a bit for the inside to warm. Thats why she touched them, to check if they had gotten too hot inside or not.

Maybe they didn’t know; you learn something new everyday. Plus, they save lives indirectly by saving lives in danger.

@@Aggression-hc3yp How could you NOT know that? It's basic knowledge that Firefighters would know since many of them have first-aid training and work with paramedics and EMS. Some firefighters even work as EMS as well as firefighters. To say they wouldn't know something like that is idiotic.

It's because immunohematology is more complicated. One blood bag can still be separated into blood components and sometimes multiple blood bags are needed for only one person. It's an inspiring motivational statement, a positive reinforcement for such a smart decision to save the blood bags

It's a subtle reminder that donating blood is a way for anyone to save a life. Though in reality the blood has to be stored in a cooler because there's very strict temperature requirements, those bags would never be used because of how hot things had gotten that they needed to hose down the cooler. (Also they were labeled wrong)
