The Star Sisters - Stars on 45. 12" (Gold Series)

The Star Sisters was een Nederlandse meidengroep die zeer populair was gedurende de jaren '80. De groep werd bij wijze van grap opgericht in 1983 en bestond aanvankelijk uit Patricia Paay, Yvonne Keeley en hun moeder. Laatstgenoemde werd vervangen door Sylvana van Veen vanaf het moment dat de groep professionele vorm ging krijgen.Stars on 45 proudly presents The Star Sisters werd hit van het jaar 1983 dat 5 weken op de eerste plaats stond in de Nederlandse Top 40. De single stond 13 weken genoteerd in de Nederlandse Top 40.

Ergens tussen de 600 LP's en 400 singles (schatting) moet de 7" versie van deze ook nog zijn. Ik kan mijzelf herinneren dat ook die erg goed klonk! Wel grappig hoe de engineer zijn best heeft gedaan om de stemmen van de dames te laten klinken alsof ze zijn opgenomen door een microfoon uit de 1940's 😀
