I love the 'framed frame' that you created, it's looks so stunning with the white paint and the gold showing through where you distressed it. Gold just looks so sumptuous ❤😍❤I've just bought my first IOD mould and it's the same IOD Frames Mould that you used here. I can't get over how beautifully made the IOD moulds are, with the micro rim and all the texture in them. They're way superior to the moulds by Redesign With Prima, even though they're all roughly the same price, or at least they are here in Australia. I've got a couple of the Prima moulds and they're quite difficult to use because they don't have the micro rim, so it's almost impossible to get a perfect casting out of them, I usually have to cut away excess clay with an exacto knife. I'm decorating a wood frame at the moment with floral mouldings that I'm gluing around the outside of it to make the frame look a bit more interesting!! LOL 😅 I'm still figuring out what to put IN the frame. It will either be an IOD Transfer on white cotton fabric or what you did in this video. Amanda... I love the fact that, despite the distance between us, we can connect through a platform like this! I agree that not all moulds are created equal... much the same as any other product. I tend to trial a number of things, find what I like and what works for me... and then stick with it! why mess with a good thing? There are so many possibilities with the frames moulds... I've seen many making small mini frame ornaments for their tree. It's on my craft list but that list seems to get longer each day and I'm challenged keeping up!! Maybe you'll have to try that one for me!

The oval frame would look amazing around the black knobs on the buffet credenza behind you. I have a question. Why did you choose wax instead of a polyacrylic to seal the final project? I never know which to choose. I look forward to learning more from you!

Hi Carla! Really... Polyacrylic would work also... it's more of a preference only on a project like this since it really won't be handled a lot. If I was doing a kitchen or dining room table I would definitely use a polyacrylic but for pieces that won't be seeing as much use wax hardens just fine. I have dressers and side tables that I've waxed years ago and they are fine. I like the feel of the wax finish so tend in that direction. It also is easier to use I find... I tend to get a smoother more even finish.
