Do you have a preferable way to hang the cameras for public land hunters who can't legally screw things into the tree?
@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors3 күн бұрын
I use these on state land. They work great. amzn.to/4g0WShl

can you use these camera like a normal camera with a sd card or do they have to be used cellular only.
@Horn_n_Fin_OutdoorsАй бұрын
The camera does not have an SD, it has internal memory. But yes, you can not activate the cellular and the camera will take pictures. To look at the pictures, you would have to take the camera out of the woods, and hook it to your computer.

thanks for the great video, I bought two of these cameras and they are being shipped to me,, but then I realized there is no cell service in the mountains where i will use these cameras to monitor my 8 acres, should I send these back ? and what camera's should I get where no cell service exists. also only a couple of my cabins on my land have very, very slow internet service. thanks for your time.
@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors4 ай бұрын
If you have no cell service, no cell camera will work. However, you can still use these as a traditional trail camera, it will take pics, but not transmit them to your phone. And it won’t cost anything.

Great video I want to use these cameras at my seasonal campground over the winter just to check for weather and maybe intruders is there a way for me to turn this off or have it not operational until I ask for it to do that without going out and turning it on because it’s probably gonna be up in a tree somewhere? Thanks in advance.
@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors3 ай бұрын
There really isn’t a way to turn the camera off and on remotely. Once it’s on, it’s on.

Great video , when you set to pic and video does the video come to phone also?
@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors3 ай бұрын
You have to specifically request the video, and then it will send it to your phone. Thanks for watching!

Can you download photos if you are in an area WITHOUT service? Like stand next to it and get the pics?

No, there is no way to do that

Question, i will be using the stealthcam battery boxes, not solar ones, with 8 internal lithium batteries as back up. I think i seen this someplace, but with the external power source hooked up, it will show full battery, but no %. When you see the battery % shows up, the internal batteries have taken over, and the external battery needs to be recharged, correct? I'm just a half mile walk to both cameras i will be putting out, so i can switch out the battery in the box. And by the way, great video.
@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors5 ай бұрын
I know for a fact that’s how the Tactacam cameras work. I BELIEVE the Moultrie work the same way.

No cable lock on the camera? Public land it would be gone in a minute

Thanks for the great review. Do you know if the lithium ion battery lasts any longer than 16 AA's(lithium or regular)?
@Horn_n_Fin_OutdoorsАй бұрын
The lithium will last longer. Not by much though. BUT….. where it has a huge advantage is that they are rechargeable and last for years where as AAs get thrown out. You will save tons of money by using the Lithium Packs

Grat video on breaking the camera down and how to set it up. My question to you is I see you use these cameras and in a few videos the Tactacam. Do you prefer one over the other? I myself use Tactacams but haven't been happy with them as of late. I have been looking at other cameras and a few of my friends are pointing me towards the Moultries.
@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors4 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! I have more tactacams than any other brand. I have a few SPYPOINTs, and recently ventured into Moultrie. I’m very happy with the Edge 2 and the Edge 2 pro. I did a video on the Edge 2 also: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWrTgXV_qbmKq6csi=_gh8yc3WBOVns3A2

Even our original Edges r doing fine on their second season. Those r on a great discount right now. Gonna try the Edge 2 pro though to see if it’s worth the extra money

To bad they did not include a cable lock feature on the camera. I hunt public land and put them up high but always lock them when possible.

Cable locks will only deter honest people. Scum bags will get them no matter what.

I'm a newbie to cell cams. What would you recommend, the Edge 2 pro or the Reveal pro as far a quality and reliability?
@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors7 күн бұрын
That’s tough, both cameras are great! Since you are new to cell cams, I would honestly suggest the Reveal X 3.0. (Unless you REALLY want the “no glow” flash). The reveal x 3.0 is very easy to set up and use. However, if the only two choices I have are the two cameras you mentioned, I would suggest the Edge 2 pro. Slightly easier to set up and use than the Tactacam.
@paulvogelman84237 күн бұрын
@@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors thank you for your input. I only chose those two based on your channel and your thorough instructions on each camera. Are there any other choices you would recommend over these two?
@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors6 күн бұрын
@@paulvogelman8423 thanks for watching the videos! since i started using cell cams, i started with spypoint, and learned quickly that i did not care for them (but the price was right). then i started using tactacam and loved them, and now ive also ventured into moultrie. those are the onlyl 3 brands i have cell cam experience with. i like both tactacam and moultrie

Fantastic review! I have some power questions, and it looks like you’ve used about every combination at some point. So… Can an external power source be used in conjunction with internal batteries? If so, when using the Moultrie Li-ion pack, does the unit use power from the Li-ion pack while the external supply charges the pack? - or - Does it use external power when present, and then reverts to internal when there’s not sufficient external power (or vice versa)?
@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors5 ай бұрын
Great question! Yes, you can use an external box with internal batteries. No, the external solar will not charge the internal batteries. The camera will use the power from the external box until it runs out, then switch to the internal battery power. On my cameras, I use the external box with an empty battery tray inside the camera.

Hi, does the camera work in Finland? Is the camera designed for use in Finland? So European use for this camera would be important. I'm asking you a question because if you know a lot about cameras, I thought I'd ask you. I can also ask the manufacturer.
