Bought a 2 pack at Academy this weekend. Gotta say so for I’m loving it. Extremely easy to setup. I have tried several cellular cameras in a deep swamp and none worked but this Edge worked flawlessly. Super easy setup and it connected within 30 seconds and sent pictures within 1 minute. I like that you can send a test photo to see what the setup looks like and have a chance to adjust the angle. Always hated when the camera was turned a bit and couldn’t get a good view. Camera is showing a weak signal but it’s sending pics 👍🏼 Good job Moultrie!

**Update** camera worked for a couple days and got pics and then stopped. Went to the property to check on it and there was condensation in the battery compartment and rust. Couldn’t have been rain because we’ve been in a drought here in the south and hadn’t rained since putting it out. Then went to put the second one out and the camera stated it was already registered. Called Moultrie and they couldn’t really help because apparently someone bought it and returned it to academy and never discontinued the registration. 🤦🏻‍♂️ So now I have two of these cameras and neither work and I’m stuck with $150 worth of plastic junk.

can you share a plan with more than one camera?...the plans seem expensive if its just for one camera
@adamwest3266
@adamwest3266 2 жыл бұрын
No you cannot. You have to get their most EXPENSIVE monthly plan $32(?) per month for one cam and $8 additional per month per added cam. This guy must've been paid because I just set mine up yesterday and the field of view is poor. The image quality is about half or less than what your phone camera would take. You cannot adjust the motion detection range. It SAYS that the camera has an 80' range ... BS more like 20' and it's hit or miss at 50'. So far there's been a delays up to several hours telling me that there's new images. Customer service blamed that on the carriers...... Customer service had me on hold for almost an hour until I finally chose the call back option. They called me back 2 hours later and the girl had no clue so she put me to a "lead." Taking mine back tomorrow. PS the services they provide are bait and switch because they DO NOT disclose everything included in each plan.....

Nope. $10/month per camera. Not really that expensive IMO.

I'm new to the wireless camera scene. How do subscriptions work if you have multiple cameras? For example is it like x dollars for each line or does it get cheaper with every line you add? Thanks!
@katzgarden636
@katzgarden636 2 жыл бұрын
You have to pay per line unless you subscribe to to $35/month then it’s only $8 for each additional

I just bought a 2 pack and set them up in my house and had them both activated and taking pictures and sending to the app. Then i went and Set them up in the woods almost a full week ago on heavy trails and have yet to get pictures sent to the app. I'm getting concerned that somethings not right. The signal strength was good on one and fair on the other but neither are sending pictures and i know for a fact that deer, squirrels, racoons have been in front of that camera at some point in the last 6 days. Any suggestions? One of them sent pictures of me while setting it up immediately and the other one only took 1 pic of me while setting it up even though i walked by numerous times. BUT nothing since then.

@@ChappySinclair Yeah, found out pretty quick the service signal is crucial. If it ever goes poor and takes a picture, the batteries will drain as it tries to send the picture. So basically my batteries died in a day. I had the recommended batteries in it too. Comes down to service. Only run these batteries in spots where the service is good-great. If it says fair, don't even try.

@@richardlancto3559 I did a hard reset and found out that if it says good or great you're fine. If it's in a spot that says fair or poor don't even bother with it. It'll eventually disconnect and then drain the battery trying to reconnect. Went through about 32 batteries figuring that out. Not CHEAP! haha good luck

After 20 years of using Moultrie products, that all came crashing down today. I remember using those big, bulky trail cameras Moultrie first came out with when game cameras just came out. I had half a dozen of them. Used them for years! And today, I have several of their automatic feeders. Well, after having to send an Edge trail camara back, not once, but twice, I simply asked them to cancel my subscription and refund my money. They refunded my money spent on the camera but continued to charge me for the data plan. When I finally caught on, they simply said, "sorry, that is your responsibility to cancel your plan" and refused to refund that portion. So here's my thoughts: I'll own that. Im sure its in their fine print that I failed to read. But sometimes to please a customer 100%, you have to go an extra mile to do what is right, not what is policy. At the end of the day, a few bucks is not worth worrying about. But the principle of the issue is. It takes years to build customer loyalty and just minutes to lose it.

I was ready to switch over from delta and base to Edge but found out there is no way to pull all videos and pictures off of the edge for a in-depth look. I can pull my SD cards and go thru each HD video and pictures and catch deer in videos that I would have not known were there because the picture sent of the video did not show anything. Unless there is a way to do a file dump via cord or card its a fail for internal memory...
@BowsiteBowhunting
@BowsiteBowhunting 2 жыл бұрын
You are correct. I asked Moultrie the same question and they replied there is no interface, like a USB connection, to dump the memory or pull bulk images and videos. The only way to copy the images and video is to download them from the App. I used to do it the same way you did, and was concerned at first, but now I prefer downloading them and managing my images daily rather than going through thousands of images off the sd cards whenever I pulled the cards.

12v battery. Look up Moultrie’s battery box on Amazon and you’ll see the battery size, you can make your own inexpensive box or just buy it from Moultrie and others.

How many pics do you get per day? Is it set to pics or video? The best way to save battery is to set it to send pecs to you once or twice a day instead every time a pic is taken.

FYI, they scammed me for 2 months after I cancelled them after returning cameras in Nov 2022, I saw they were still charging me in Jan 2023, I contacted them and the cancelled and refunded Jan 2023, even though they say they can see I started cancelling for NOV/ DEC 2022 they say I didn't finish, no use of service is evident and their app is difficult to use, THIS IS MY REVIEW: You scammed me for two month's subscription after I cancelled, Nov/Dec 2022, you know I was not using your service, you can see I tried to cancel, standup outfits would have not done this, I will review your outfit from here on every chance I get as such! Steer clear of this outfit .

Another useless video as far as what to expect out of the box and in use. If this or that step of the process is easy and fast SHOW us. If it only takes a few minutes to setup then do it on camera not tell us what's on the users manual or website. How does a person download pics from camera onto a computer or can even be done without a payment plan? How many photos does the 8 or 16 take before draining? There's no hands-on experience coming from this person as far as this product. I'm seeking a camera that is user-friendly and a APP that works as it should but regardless of whatever the item is there's no honest reviews anyplace on KZbin just people giving positive reviews on things that may or may not have used just to keep the freebies coming in the mail. Is this guy reading from a teleprompter or someone holding up cards?
