How does the limit actually affect the garrison? Like does it change the rate of XP gain, morale, effectiveness during a siege? What happens if you just keep it at a set $ like 200?

Garrison wise you can still jump in and manually change it, they still gain xp. But a very small garrison in a large town can have negative effects to its stats like security etc. But you’ve just got to play the economy game of what can you afford. As unchecked your bills will continually increase and if you get into too much debt there would be mass desertion from your party and garrisons

I can understand why they’ve put it in the party management menu, as it it’s a party of troops which is garrisoned. Should be in fief management I agree with that.

The sliders don’t even work for me. As soon as I click done and check back they’re back to unlimited. This is the same UI issue this game has had for years. Literally years.

Hello there, thanks for the video. My Problem is every time I set the pay to a certain amount and go out of the menu, it automatically resets to unlimited sold. I also went to the cities and took soldiers from the garrison to get under the amount I had set. Does anyone know a solution to this or have I overlooked something? Greetings Max

Not sure what’s going on there pal, as long as you change the sliders and untick the top box and save and back out it should work to the parameters you set it to

All I know is the way I’ve done it in the video is the way it worked for me and stayed as it should be. Sounds odd that it would reset itself after you came out of the menu for it.

how to increase "Current Limit" beyond 2000? If we can not place it at a level for example 3500 then we are NOT able to "Decrease it to any level we want". Unless I'm missing something. Thanks!

You can set it as unlimited wage, and check in every once in a while to see how much it's grown, once it hits 3500, just deselect autorecruitment but leave unlimited wage checked or else it will start disbanding troops. However, a garrison with a wage of 3500 is waaay too big, I'm not talking in terms of money but rather the food consumption of your fief, if the garrison is too big, it'll likely starve your people and you'll lose prosperity

People with decent traits/levels to run the show. At one point it wasn’t always worth putting in quartermasters etc into positions.

I think you’d have to have the right conditions in the town and specific bonuses applied to have a chance of going over +1 per day. So bountiful amounts of food production, very good loyalty, very good security, very good prosperity and the train militia bonus on to have a good rate of recruitment/production of garrison units and also no limits set on cap or wage

Im havin trouple with my garrison troops leaving like i can put 512 soldier's in garrison but they all leave in just a couple of days. My town is razhir and my security is above 50 and my loyalty is almost 40 please help

Have you got enough money? Do you have the settings all correct in the garrison page?

@@LCKplays I think so. I have 143k coins and my current party wage is 464 and I have it set at 464 for the current limit

@@twistdidmind69 I would say that could be the issue, if you set the wage very low and your garrison produces more troops or recruits troops and this puts it over the threshold then they leave. So you could set a higher limit and just limit the number of troops in the garrison so that no more can be recruited but their wages can be paid for

Could you maybe give me some info on garrisons food management? During a siege defense my garrison just starts to vanish once we hit two days worth of food, but the militia is not effected at all. Why does it not take my parties food into account when I have over 2k food value in my party? Where do I store food in the town in order to prevent this? Do I sell it? Stash it? This is my biggest if not only issue right now with trying to manage my upstarting kingdom 🥲

The food ticker is for the garrisons food, the town is fed off of the food in the trade menu so I imagine the militias food is based on however much the town traders have

Trade food into the town pal, the amount the traders have is a big factor in food management for defensive sieges. Your party feeds off of your food in your inventory. Militia I think is last to decrease for food as they are technically townsfolk being recruited into the militia for garrisons.
