While I was in the hospital undergoing chemo-I read the story of Elijah and the prophets of Ba'al (1Kings 18) and just as YHVH burned up the altar and everything on it-He showed me that was my cancer and He would destroy it! They gave me 1 year to live-that was 7 years ago-Hallelu-YAH!

It is not by accident those are the names of the people. Also, did you know that Bethlehem was the specific place that they raised the Temple sacrifice Lambs. Jesus the Lamb of God. Also the Shepherds that showed up at his birth would have been the ones raising those sheep. Also, Bethlehem means "House of Bread", Jesus the Bread of Life.

Beautiful family for Jesus! Thank you for the Carmel posting. When we visited several years ago the monks had s statue of Mary there, right there on the top of Mt Carmel! The very spot where Elijah killed the false prophets who worshipped idols! And there sat an idol. I love Mary, but she would be disgusted to see that people venerate statues of her now. As an ex Catholic it was not hard to find the truth of this once I started reading the Bible.

What's interesting about Mt. Carmel and the Prophet Elijah is that these groups of Hermits became Christian and would be considered the oldest order in the Holy Roman Catholic Church; although they were officially recognized in the 10th or 11 century St . Albert the Great formulated the rules for the Order around the same time as Sts. Francis of Assisi and Dominic Guzman founded their religious communities.
