I grew up in Mount Carroll. It is sad that it has become a ghost town. 😢

It's a beautiful town. A hidden gem. I have hopes of a small town revival in America as the big cities have become soulless. I don't know exactly what it will look like but I believe it will happen as people learn small town living is superior to big city living.

This is editing at it's finest. The place he was sitting in was a restaurant brought in by a development commission. Slicks is now a thrivng business. The town is dead, yet why are there so many cars parked? Sure times are changing. The depot is gone and small town merchandising has changed, but to portray things as a ghost town is just wrong. In a 300 foot radius of where this is filmed, are many prosperous businesses.
