I think I saw your guys's headlamps down on the snow slope looking down from the col a bit before sunrise. Great dry rock, pretty frosty summit wind that morning eh?

Yeah it's called natural selection, I was thinking the camera view is either disorienting or these guys are woohoo. Great video though.

you guys are pushing it to be up there scrambling around with no technical gear - keep it up one of you will sadly perish before long - even if conditions were good, the rock is not, it is shale-limestone which is notoriously unpredictable - you sould have at least been roped together climbing 5th class style...The East Ridge is at least 5.5 terrain and that is after the plateau, the top half - when you are tired and the rock is seeping, which is always is, a fall is far from unusual -.Edith Cavell is a technical climb far from a scramble - I lived in the Bow Valley and climbed seriously winter and summer for ten years and guys doing just what you did there used to die each and every summer - stay roped folks - simul climb - but don't simply scramble around on vertical terrain where one slip will cost you your life....climbing 5th class is no slower and a hell of a lot safer than just freewheeling it like these two.......maybe 9 out of 10 times you are successful but the tenth you are dead and simply because you didn't want to or know how to climb 5th class?

East ridge of Edith Cavell is 5.3 and in good conditions is easily soloed by competent climbers. It's got solid rock by Rockies standards. It's all about comfort level. Some people should be roped up on 4th class and some are just fine on lower 5th class without a rope.

I believe there is term for that, it is called " natural selection"
