Mount Erciyes 🏔️
- located around 60 minutes ride 🚌 from Cappadocia . 1 hour flight from Istanbul ✈️
- ⁠former volcano is now a resort area used for skiing and other winter sports . ⛷️
- ⁠cable car fee :15 $ per pax ( standard payment is US dollar, so you need to convert it to lira for payment 😅)
- ⁠prepare Lira cash for payment. Credit card not accepted.
- ⁠even though best month visit December- March (based on google). During our visit on December, the snow is quite thin.
- ⁠restaurant provided on the peak
- ⁠winter sport rental provided in the base station. Price is quite high, try your bargaining skill to get good price.😅
- ⁠children sledging area located on the base station. We cancel doing the sledging, the sledge escalator ( not sure the term) not working. And we are too lazy and tired to carry the 🛷 sledge .😅
Cons. 📝:
- ⁠toilet is not clean during my visit
- ⁠credit card not accepted
- ⁠no fixed price for ski rental and other winter sports activities
- ⁠ski chair lift not working
- ⁠sledge escalator not working
