I was there a few weeks ago! It amazed me how there was still snow, I was in shorts and tee shirt and was still comfortable. Such a cool place.

Great job with your photography, and you captured the unique aspects that are the Lemmon. Been skiing here decades and it's steep and amazing on powder days! We just don't have too many ski days this far South.

Tucson native. My only experience there is the one time I tried to go I waited at their front gate for rentals for 4 hours (because no one in Tucson owns ski gear for obvious reasons) and then they eventually just told everybody they ran out and to go home. There was probably 50 more people that were in line behind us that left at the same time. That means they took wayyyy more names and put them in the waitlist than they KNEW they had gear, that’s the only thing that upset me because obviously they can’t control how busy it was but at least tell people that there’s not enough for them so they don’t waste their time waiting.

Surprised you made it up there. As you said, when it snows they close the roads. Usually only open 2 weeks of the year. I’m moving back to AZ for family. Hopefully they get snow like this next season.

Honestly super fair review! Glad you got to experience how weird this place is haha. Only thing slightly wrong is lodging. You don’t have ski in ski out, but summerhaven (the town up there) has lodging, hotel and rentals!
