Awesome video cracking little trip up mt meHarry 👍🏻 strange name for a mountain…….dont know the background because your history class was non existent on this trip 😂 I clocked the wild touring sticker on the post! drone shots were great but if your driving (Garbo boy) who’s at the controls of the drone ? while using the drone on your car I take it your using active track ? And moving the stick to get different angles ? as always cracking video guys…a Sunday morning must watch 🙌🏻 safe travels guys 🤗

@Neil-clare yeah garbo slacken off on the history lesson this week! 😂 good old Wild Touring 👍 Cam Wild has been up there a couple of times now, think it was his first video on it that made us keen to go up. Yeah Craig will use the active track when driving and flying the drone, I just keep an eye to make sure the drone doesn't take off 😂 enjoy your Sunday guys! Thanks for always watching ❤️

@@RoaminintheRobbo yeah he has I’ve not learned anything this week 😂 oh so he sets the drone up to do what you want it to then you keep an eye on it got ya……don’t think clare wants anything to do with the drone she’ll be to busy looking for pot holes 😂 I do have a few other questions which relates to a previous trip you did but that can wait. Thanks guys you to have a good relaxing Sunday 🙌🏻 work tomoz 😅😢😂

@@Neil-clare Don't blame Clare not wanting anything to do with the drone, it always makes me nervous 😂 Yeah I just keep an eye on the screen to make sure it is still tacking us and if it loses us, I left Craig know so he can work out where the drone has gone! Ask away, we are always happy to help however we can! Have a great week 🧡

@@RoaminintheRobbo makes me nervous to…..my first flight with it out in the garden wind took it and it was smashed up 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 I think I will take your process of me setting it up and Clare keeping an eye on it…she won’t but I can only try 😂 Right I know you’ve done these parts of oz so I’d like to ask as I’ve no experience of outback 4w driving. .The el questro deep water crossing to get to el questro gorge…..to get across select 4wd low or 4wd high ? .the Ivanhoe river crossing…..select 4wd low or 4wd high ? .the pentecost river crossing….select 4wd low or 4wd high ? . The mereenie loop dirt road section…..just 2wd or do i have to do parts in 4wd ? Sorry to ask but I’m a total novice and this advice is a must so I don’t end up on the back of a recovery truck 😂 Thanks guys I really appreciate your help 🧡 You guys to have a great week 🤗

@@Neil-clare Hey Neil, When It comes to river crossings I always find (especially if unsure\inexperienced) that 2nd or 3rd gear low is the go. I'll attach a link for you to have a read through. www.drive.com.au/caradvice/4x4-driving-tips-water-crossings/ As for the deep crossing to the ELQ gorge...um...well we actually got water in under the carpet and spent a couple of days drying it out. It took us 45-60seconds to cross. You'll make it but may get some water come in. The staff at ELQ are really helpful. You can have a chat to them to ask what it's like and how deep it is at the time. On gravel roads especially corrugated ones 4H is what I'd go with. It gives you more traction on the unpredictable surface and more chances to recover a 'loss of control' incident should one occur. As for our 200 series, it's constantly in 4wd but with the centre diff open, which is perfect for slippery roads. I lock the centre for sand, slow technical 4 wheeling and water crossings. Depending on the car you've got this may not be an option and 4wd will lock the centre diff, which will be fine. Hope this all helps Craig

One of my favourite episodes Craig. A must do. The photography is first class. There's a hike in England's Lake district called Striding Edge - Mt. Meharry track is the 4x4 equivalent. Splendid.

Craig that was one of the best videos on this area we have seen. We are hanging to hit that climb in the Gladiatior and that just made want it more. Interesting you comment on the Maxxis. We have loved ours too but man they have fallen off a cliff towards the end of their tread life. Bit disappointing. Will be interesting to heard how the Yokohama’s go for you. We have some new rubber coming and will be one of the first in Aussie to try them in our size (Benefits of a mate in the industry). Can’t wait 😁

@filthyoffroadadventures cheers mate 🍻 you will love doing the Mount Meharry track when you get to WA, and the views 👌 Yeah we were happy with the Maxxis and they lasted the trip well but boy they were in bad shape by the time we got home 😂 Nice, always nice to have friends that can hook you up hey! Hope you are happy with the new treads when you get them 🛞🛞

Awesome drive and view. Cracking spot for lunch. How are the new tyres for road noise? Im due for a new set soon. Been running Nitto's which have been really good and very little road noise but been told are bit hard to get at the moment.

@leeambrose9449 such a great spot for lunch 😁 We do noticed a bit of road noise with them, the Maxxis were definitely quieter but the noise is not to bad, most the time we don't even notice. Thanks for watching mate 🍻

I've been hanging out for this episode as I plan/hope to do it next month on my Broom or Bust trip. Please forgive me if I've already asked this, but in your opinion do you think it is a safe trek for a newbie 4WDer? Did you by any chance do the Mt Nameless trek while you were in that neck of the woods? Great video as always, would have been even better if it was 10 or 15 minutes longer 😉 Thanks for sharing.

@moikehunt8928 nice Broome! Hope you have an amazing time! Unfortunately we didn't get to do Mount Nameless, we ran out of time, but good excuse to go back right 😜 the track up Mount Meharry wasn't technical that I think you would be fine. There are just spots you need to pick your line, but if you have some one spotting you, you would be fine. Just take your time, the view is incredible and well worth doing. Thanks for the feedback mate we will certainly try and make the videos a bit longer 😊 Thanks for watching, have a great week!!
