I've been practicing on ACC for this update to learn the track. It's a mighty one, though I think unless you are S safety raring it is going to be a nightmare/great for content

Man i disagree with this point on so many levels, as the consumer it is my right to complain about a product if it does not fit my needs or desires. I would not need to be forced to go back and play them, i would do it willingly, they are far more entertaining that some of the AAA slop that has been shovelled into the gaming trough over the past few years. The only thing that objectively is better is graphics, but if you care about that more than the quality of the game you are playing then we have very different priorities when it comes to enjoyment of content

@@Blownpistonmotorsport I think his response is to the general whining that comes with these types of videos and headlines and the comments, you only sounded a bit whiney but not as whiney as the majority of people anytime this game is brought up. Horizon drip style feed amongst many games has spoiled gamers rotten. Studios releasing free fixes. updates and content and people still whine, that's the problem. You already paid for the base game, you aren't paying these lads for the extra free content, so why whine? We are really at the point where people are complaining about free content...kind of mind boggling. When did this "Your free content wasn't up to my free content 'standards' "...nonsense start? You want them to start charging for content like ACC, AM2, iRacing??? I brought up go back to N64 cause 95% of the time the whining about this game is about the graphics or that they didn't personally ask every single person in the world what they wanted in the game and promised you that it will be in the game and had a lawyer sign it as a proof. That entitlement behavior is the problem, studios don't owe anybody anything after initial purchase. Just be glad there are any fixes period. If I was I charge y'all ungrateful people wouldn't get anything post launch LOL. I would actually revert the game back to retail release if I saw people complaining about free content, patches, fixes, etc or I would patch the game to look like a N64 game to troll y'all. Yea I'm that petty LOL.

Bathurst is the same track you know and love. RTGI was impressive for me. But I don't run raytracing, so going from nothing to all bells and whistles is signifigant. I'm still going back to RT off for the higher graphics settinga and framerates.

I do believe iracing have the exclusive rights for this years v8s. Should still be a decent update and look forward to some of the cars as Aussie cars are fun to drive.

Yeah i get the 23/24 cars could be tough to license, but still could have added things like the R32 Godzilla or the R35 GT3, some 80’s/90’s race cars to thread between the walls would have been epic, the track is great just lacks the supporting content it deserves i think

I agree, i have hundreds of hours and over 100 videos in FM, but that still doesn’t mean i can’t be disappointed in a “australia” update that alongside an amazing track has a few meh cars, all of which have been in the series before

On PC at least, they just don't optimize Forza Motorsport good enough. I got tired of struggling with it after every other update. With the same issues. I'm done with these games made primary for consuls and then minimally ported for PC. While games made by much smaller studios, or even by the modding community work so much better. Big corporations just don't have the heart that smaller studios have.

Understandable man, it has had some troubles with PC stability there is no denying that, every update seems to bring in some new weird bug or stutter problem as well! PC ports do seem to be an afterthought for studios now a days which is weird, but hopefully that will change in the future with things like steamdeck/rog ally as they run the PC port variant of fames in most cases

@@Blownpistonmotorsport This is why games made by none consul owned developers are always considered much better than those who are owned by owned developers. Consider the upcoming Assetto Corsa Evo. Which will have a large open world map in Germany. The next Horizon also is reported to be in Germany! AC will be twice the game. My question, why are owned developers so second rate compared to private ones? I think it's because private developers are developing what they love, while industries are just hiring software engineers to help them make money. Which takes president over all decisions. Peace.

@ i don’t think its the developers, i think it will be some mid tier lead project designer that has decided PC optimisation isn’t “in scope” much past getting it working kinda, its probably a comparatively small team compared to other teams, that is overworked and understaffed and has little to no QA team. Stuff like this i personally never blame the devs for, it’s a management issue 99/100. Indie studios are just more agile than big corpo’s now, think steering a tanker vs a sail boat, and they have less shareholders to worry about when it comes to delaying launch until its working.

Another update, another disapointment. Granted, the return of Bathurst is a welcome one. But once again the lack of V8 cars to actually take advantage of it is kinda bafling. What should have been a slam dunk decision turns into "well, I guess we'll get them at some point?". I mean, it could've had something to do with licensing issues, but you'd think MICROSOFT would worked something out in time for the release of this track. And once again, we get ANOTHER FRR update... Kinda get the feeling (if it wasn't already there) that Turn10 knows this system is complete trash, with the way they keep tweeking it update after update. Only positive with this update is how they finally figured out how to take into account your previous races (duh!). It makes more sense for someone who's done dozens of races and held an S rating to be dinged less for a "race incident" once, then someone who just enjoys ramming others every race. So, good on them for that, but I need to see more done with this before I download and play the game again. For now, I'll just stick to watching you race! ;)

It didn’t need to be the current ones, i get they could be subject to exclusive rights on other games etc, but to add so little from the past, where is Godzilla or the R35 GT3 car that smashed the Bathurst race on its first try? Id love some classic 80’s racecars to negotiate my way over the mountain! Just disappointing the supporting material to the track was so meh thats all

Umm more progress. I suspect car licensing is probably why not more V8 super cup car things. But the track is certainly looking good.

Yeh seems a bit naughty not putting super cars in it's own category for this down under track update. The last few months they've been singing n dancing about American racing and countless variations of street cars that look almost identical and handle like V8s on a dinghy. 🤷🏻‍♂️

That is because i get access to the info early, but not the map. This video was released about an hour before the update was even pushed live, can’t record on a track thats files aren’t in the game yet. I did a stream the same evening hot lapping on Mount Panorama going over my thoughts

This update would've been great if they would have implemented ray-traced global illumination on Xbox as well. This is a subpar update that completely neglects console users. The thing is that they promised ray tracing/ray-traced global illumination on both console and PC day 1 and now they decide to drop it only for PC? 👎🏻👎🏻 🚮 update.

Honestly the rat tracing stuff has no impact for me, im making content with forza so stability and framerate are my main concerns, but i can see how non content creators would be annoyed by its absence on console for sure, I’m not sure on the hardware limitations on the Xbox to comment as to why it wasn’t on console as well

Great track but the car list is terrible. No XY GTHO or LJ Torana XU-1 but keep the XB GT just because of Mad Max and the XA GTHO that is only in game because of its rarity. Neither of those cars have racing history. This update is a massive fail for Aussie racing fans all because T10 are clueless about what cars matter to us.

This month is supposed to be celebrating Australian racing history yet they have 2 cars that have none and are missing others that should be there. Clueless.
