Mount Penrose Scramble, Gold Bridge

Four beautiful lakes are visible while hiking up the southeast ridge of Mount Penrose, Downton Lake, Lajoie Lake, Gun Lake, and Carpenter Lake high above Gold Bridge, BC. This makes for a very scenic summit and a fun scramble to one of the highest peaks I've stood on all year. Windy, sunny, indian summer weather, and a mountain goat sighting to top it off!

What’s a hike you have done where at the end you were glad you did it but have no intention of ever doing it again? If there is one. Mine was Mount Elbert in Colorado, glad I did it, but these sea level lungs will keep to mountains under 14k for now 😂
