Hello. I've just subscribed to your channel and watched your videos. It's great to see someone sharing the enjoyment and pleasure they feel when building and improving their layout and running their trains. Please remember that Rule 1 always applies: It's your layout, and you can run on it whatever you like! I look forward to watching further videos.

Thanks for your kind comment and subscription - very much appreciated. You are right about "Rule 1" of course 😊 ... I wonder if there are any other unwritten rules in the world of model railways? (Something about derailments always happening in the least accessible part of the layout perhaps 🥴? Thank you again 👍🚂

@PringletonModelRailway I'm sure there are. And, of course, there's the "hand of God", that swoops in to remedy a derailment!

Brilliant video, can't believe I missed this one, well done with the endoscope, it was super cool to see inside. Looking foward to more creative and clever solutions! Cheers, Hylt

Hi Hylt. Thank you so much for your kind comment. The endoscope is rapidly becoming a "must have" in my model railway toolbox and I think the mountainous terrain of your West Highland line might well benefit from one too (handy for in tunnel derailments 🥴). Thanks again 👍🚂

@@PringletonModelRailway I think you might be right! Though I do have a handy hole in the middle of the mountain just for that reason, still, it’s a fun prospect! 😊 anyone reading this out of context might be a bit confused 😂

@Proper_Chuffed I was ffwding Jenny Kirk's Monday club last night and saw your name pop up there, too. It's the best way to keep up with events in the hobby and pick up useful tips.

Mount Pringleton is an impressive build and well done to the Dell computer boxes !! Interesting to see into the bowls of Mount Pringleton but that endoscope did bring back some painful memories 😀 Cheers Kev

Thanks for your kind comment Kev. I was fortunate enough to have access to a large amount of these keyboard boxes at the time and was also looking into the Giants Causeway. "I wonder ..." I thought! They are super sturdy when stuck together and easy to work with. As for the endoscope, I've not experienced one of those in the manner that brings back painful memories for you ... yet 😵💫. Thanks again 👍🚂

The watchtower could have been made from a pencil box? Interesting video. And interesting construction.
@PringletonModelRailway5 ай бұрын
Thank you for your kind comment. The watchtower was actually made from four used COVID lateral flow tests, glued together and sprayed with grey primer! I was rather pleased with that ... so much so that I went on to use these old tests in other ways on the layout as well. Stay tuned for episode 5 on Monday 13th May for a look at that. Thank you again for taking the time to comment 👍🚂

Lovely instructional video. How do you intend to be able to rescue derailed wagons and coaches from inside and how are you going to clean the track?
@PringletonModelRailway5 ай бұрын
Thanks for your kind comment. There have indeed been a couple of incidents in the tunnel ... fortunately the endoscope and a careful reach inside did a great job in salvaging the derailed stock. As for cleaning the track, the Class 08 does a decent job of hauling a cleaning wagon round the main line ... so far, so good 👍🚂

Love the re-purposed lateral flow tests

Thanks for your kind comment Adrian. The watch tower is rather pleasing 😂. It then inspired me to use for more lateral flow tests for other stuff - that's all to come in episode 5 on Monday 13th May, so hope to see you again then. Many thanks 👍🚂

I too, must say I am rather disappointed in the lack of a guards van.
@PringletonModelRailway5 ай бұрын
Quite right Mitch - some very shoddy practice going on in Pringleton. An Operational Safety Committee will be formed to improve standards 👍🚂

I finally managed to catch up with your video at last. It's always good to see how people create structures on their layouts and how creative they are at repurposing things as well...cheers James 🙂👍

Thanks for your kind comment James. Yes - there is always satisfaction with repurposing stuff that would otherwise be junked and making someone for next to nothing. Thanks again, and looking forward to catching up with Dylington 🚂👍
