Mount Raung - Indonesia "Extremest“ mountain

I've heard a lot about Raung from a few friends and they highly recommended it, telling me its the most fun mountain in Indonesia.

My Oma (grandmother) was named after this mountain. She was an only child. Life was not easy for her but she became a wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother and a successful businesswoman. What I remember of her was her strong personality - no nonsense attitude - just like Mount (Gunung) Raung.

Actually Mt. Raung also have more difficult track on the east side of Kalibaru route, called Glenmore route which spend almost a week up and down because that route unfamiliar and rarely hikers through there. There dont have any porters only a guide from locals.

The most extremest mountain in indonesia is Puncak Jaya/Mt.Cartenz,its also the tallest mountain in indonesia, but its quiet expensive to climb there, Btw nice video👍

Rinjani is really beautiful. Sadly i climbed that before i started making videos. Among all the mountains i feel rinjani still has the full package. (good food, hot springs, nice summit view)

You guys should try another mountains like merbabu, kerinci, gede, argopuro or rinjani. Each one has its own "bonus" spots on the journey, such as savanna, lake and even hot waterfall! 😁

Raung Mountain is one of around 100 mountain in Indonesia, every montain have plus minus difficulty and beautifull panorama...👍

Actually this is not the most extreme in indonesia, but in java. You never know about mount leuser in aceh, mount bukit raya in kalimantan and cartenz pyramid in papua. They're the most challanging mountain in indonedia

Well, from the comments by my fellow Indonesians here, they said Mt Cartenz is the most extreme mountain, but hey you're right. Mt Raung is no 2 with the extreme route (Jalur Pendakian Paling Ekstrim di Indonesia). Mt Cartenz is higher than this, it's true. Whatever it is, THANK YOU FOR INTRODUCING US TO THIS MOUNTAIN. I'm sure many of us still unaware with the existance of this mountain 😁
