Follow five mountaineers as they climb Mount Saint Helens in whiteout conditions! We climbed Mount Saint Helens via the Worm Flows Climbing Route in one day at the end of April 2022. The visibility was limited, but the snow was awesome while snowboarding on the way down.
I used a splitboard and the rest of the group had skis. We started our ascent at 6:30am from the Marble Mountain Sno-Park. It was an unusually wet April which provided a lot of fresh snow. The parking lot was recently accessible due to the significant snowfall. We made it to the crater rim and were able to ski/snowboard all the way back to the Marble Mountain Sno-Park. The whiteout conditions presented many challenges, but made for a memorable day.
