Sorry comments were disabled for some reason when I put this video up, only just realised but all fixed it. KZbin's done this to a few of my videos lately!

KZbin apologized a few days ago, saying they were having some kind of technical diffidently and that thousands of people were effected by the disabled comments problem...
@TylerThompson905 жыл бұрын
Yeah they disabled comments on all my videos a couple of weeks ago without saying anything and I had to re enable them all, they said it was because of their new 'minors in videos' policy where they were disabling comments on videos that had kids in them but not sure what happened with this time

Just watched this Mt Stirling track vid. That takes real dedication to set up your camera for those great driving shots from the roadside. And I love the drone footage. You missed pointing out Mt Cobbler (also known as Indian Head) from the top of Mt Stirling. Cobbler is the great backdrop for Craig’s Hut and it can also be seen from the Hume Highway at Glenrowan if you know where to look.

Great series. The main thing i love about your vids is your explanation of where you are going and what you see. It empowers others to either take a similar route in an unknown area, or explore if a bit more game. Great you have your son with you, and infuse a sense of adventure in him. My 20 yo daughter still wants to spend a month at a time with me touring the outback....It doesnt rub off!

Really enjoyed this series. Will check out your others too. I like a lot of things - first, you put a name to all the tracks, then you don't tear them up like most yobbos, and you show what can be done with a good set of tyres at the right pressure on an otherwise standard vehicle. If you didn't have the winch I'd call you crazy going through the high country, but you have that covered.

Another enjoyable video to finish a fantastic series. You were fortunate with the weather and conditions - I was up there today and a bushfire in the Steiner road area had the authorities close the whole Howqua Hills area. Tunnel Bend is a diversion tunnel used for gold mining and built in 1884...its a magic part of the area! How they built this back in those days amazes me! You wouldn't be doing this trip at the moment as we have a large bush fire around Steiners Road and we have been blanketed in smoke for the last few days.Large fire with lots of aircraft flying over my farm with water and fire retardent! The Nissan RX looks great and its great to see a Nissan ( and not a Toyota or Ford etc) making light work of the tracks in my area. I love my STX as a regular vehicle and also when I go off road as it handles anything put in front of it! Enjoy the Great Ocean Road!

They were just from super cheap auto mate, came in a packet with the rubber, screws and some steel plates to strengthen them, you just cut them yourself to shape. Or you can even get the same rubber from Clarke rubber and then get your own screws. They are just drilled in under the guard

Hey Tyler. Been following your channel for a little while now with great pleasure. Great content and always well presented. However, I must say that videos were a lot more enjoyable before you introduced ads in the middle of them. Getting audiences to give your videos thumbs up would actually help you a lot more than ads themselves, so maybe just remind people before each video ends to give your content 👍🏼 and to subscribe to your channel. Other than that, keep up the great work mate.
@TylerThompson905 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, cheers for watching and thanks for the feedback! So the ads and likes/subscribing are different things. Comments/likes - help the video get more traction on youtube as youtube will recommend the video to more people if its getting lots of likes/comments and also the longer watch time it has. So if i had a 20 minute video and the average watch time was 3 minutes youtube wouldn't recommend it to many people but if the average watch time is say 15 minutes they would recommend it to a lot more people. Ads - My videos are now 'monetised' so youtube puts ads at the start of my video and couple throughout. I do realise ads are annoying and most people don't like them but there isn't many and you can skip them most of the time after 5 seconds anyway. While I make videos because I love doing it, having my videos monetised allows me to make a little bit of money off them to put towards camera equipment/trips away etc. At the moment I'm putting about 20-25 hours a week into this hobby and I'm making about $100 a week back off youtube ads. Cheers!
