I'm marking this down as the most amazing day hike from Tahoe. Mt. Rose is nice, but love this granite wonderland.

We haven’t hiked a bunch in the Tahoe area, but this rivals others we have done in Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, and Utah. The views are phenomenal. Thanks for the comment and happy trails.

Absolutely! The grandeur of the Tahoe Basin and Desolation Wilderness as seen from this trail rate this hike among some of the best we have done. Would highly recommend.

Cool videos! I'm wondering what gear you use to record your videos. Thanks!

Have been using a GoPro Hero 7 Black for everything since we started. We use a Mefoto Backpacker Air tripod for when we want both of us in a video or picture…or we want some stable video. The camera and tripod weigh almost nothing and have proven very durable, waterproof, and easy to carry.

Thank you for the video! I am an ok hiker but struggle when I have to do rock climbing. Is this trail for me? Did you use the AllTrails app? Is it possible to walk the trail solo? I have good endurance, but I am bad with any kind of rock climbing when I need to lift myself up.
@nolanventures4732 жыл бұрын
Not rock climbing…but some what I would call boulder hopping and walking on rocks…sort of a trail. We use a gps so it always works in the backcountry.

@@nolanventures473 thank you, Nolan for responding to my message. What gps are you using? I am not very good with directions but the AllTrails app has been a life saver 😊

You left Wyoming for California?? Forever why? I kid, I kid. Beautiful area and video. Enjoyable as always. I just posted a quick edit of a hike I did yesterday in the Gallatin NF on my channel if you’re interested. It isn’t fancy but wanted to get it out to show my family. Have a safe summer! Peace.

Thank you! This is wilderness area and seemed to be void of some of the National Park hustle and bustle. This area exceeded our expectations and is completely fantastic!

The Gallatin is fantastic…we need to get back there. We will check it out. California is a great place to visit….especially this part. Always great to return home to Wyoming! Enjoy the trails.

@@nolanventures473 I live in Madison Valley and am lucky to call this area home. Definitely lots to see. Cali is beautiful for sure. (my vid is still rendering HD...that's embarrassing. I really wasn't shooting with a potato...honest😆 ).

I’m a very strong and athletic 15 year old. I’m planning on hiking mount tallac this Saturday with some friends who are also strong and athletic. We’re all beginner hikers though. Do you think we’ll be able to safely summit this mountain? Thanks.

If I hike this in early September, do I need to wear warm clothes like you're wearing? I'm a low lander that deals with 90F temps during September so this will be my first hike starting at 6,300' - ending near 10.000'.

I've been to a lot of hiking areas around the Tahoe area except for this one. It's on my to do list for this year! Probably around June/July. Now, how is it trying to find the trail on the way back? Nonetheless great video. P.S. I'd highly recommend doing Pyramid Peak near Tahoe, incredible.
