Ha, this popped up on my KZbin feed. I’m 64, still ride. I do trail and down hill bike parks. I’m ALWAYS the oldest dude out there. You give me hope.

Hugo, thanks so much for videoing me on my run down the Porcupine Passage jump line! You did get my age right, 66. Jumps have scared me in the past, but this summer I have been working on getting more comfortable with them which is why I was at this trail today. ...Btw, I rode the Ely's Peak Trail last week from Spirit Mtn. to Becks Road and back and then up to Proctor and back to Spirit where I was parked. Anyhow, I saw that rock roll that you rode down in this video. It's really steep and I passed on rolling down it. Now that I saw you do it, I may have to go back and give it a try. Duluth has so many great trails, and I'm anxious to see more of your videos of them!

Thanks Byron! Yeah, that rock roll is super easy. Like most things, it just looks intimidating at first glance. I rode down it several times while I was there just to try out some different lines. You can certainly handle it. Thanks for watching!

Turning 62 in a few weeks and still chasing personal bests in Ruidoso New Mexico! My rides start at 7,000 ft. and top out at 8,100 ft. No oxygen is definitely fun! Are you on Strava? Keep on riding

That high altitude stuff can be painful! Yup, same name on Strava and thanks for watching!

Great riding and a great job making a very nice video. From your videos, I can see that you are very fit. I'm 73 and still enjoy riding singletrack, however, I have slowed somewhat in the last two years. I recently mixed in some weight training, rail-trail riding and yoga to compliment my mountain biking and it has been giving some improvement. I was wondering if you have some exercise routine you use to keep yourself in shape for riding.
@halffasthugo3 ай бұрын
I was doing the MTB Fit app which I'm considering going back to soon. I do like to mix up weight training. Currently, I'm following the Barbell Prescription in book format but Sully also has a KZbin channel you follow. Whatever you do, you have to keep moving! I've fallen on quite a few jumps and from just doing stupid things but the weight training has certainly protected my joints and kept me from getting injured. I do need to step up my stretching though! Ride on and thanks for watching!

Hugo, have you ever thought of doing guided tours for older riders?
@halffasthugo15 күн бұрын
Not really but, I would really enjoy that! Probably something I should consider as I mainly ride with older riders anyhow. Thanks for watching!
