Are you running a dropper or am I not seeing this correctly? Do you find it important or just slightly useful on the Fatty?
@halffasthugo5 күн бұрын
Yes, I do run a dropper on the Fatty. I find it important but, I would also say it also depends upon how aggressive of a rider you are. Most of the trails I ride have some technical areas as well as some downhill sections which makes the dropper really useful. Thanks for watching!

@halffasthugo16 күн бұрын
I do have pogies and use them when it gets down in the teens or lower. In my opinion, there a must have for below 0F. You can also throw chemical heaters in them for some additional warmth. I have several different pairs and they all work well. I've never had an issue getting my hands out when I need to. Thanks for watching!

I've only ridden that trail in the winter and in the opposite direction. I'll have to try it again going the direction that you went. It would be bad to be going downhill fast, come around a corner, and encounter a hiker (walking a dog?). There's not much room on those high exposure sections.

I bought the new Pivot Shuttle AM this spring. I’m 54 and just rode Jackpot/HighClimber for the second time in three weeks. That is one of the best trails in MN and as a Clyde I wouldn’t be able to do this trail without the e-bike. I use it at Cuyuna as well. I still ride my analog bike on all the MORC trails. I use the eco assist mode the most. The people that say it is cheating have never ridden one. I rode 32 miles today and I was sweat soaked and tired when we were done. I have ridden the SL and it is an absolute rocket ship. Love that bike!!

@@fromthesky1050 I guess because it can be done as a fun ride or a race since the entry fees go to support the trails. Not sure if the ebikes are even allowed in the actual race category or not. The individuals who came in first did it in just about 3 hours and 20 minutes on a regular bike!

Go Hugo! I'm 61 too and I have several eMTB's (full power and lightweight, one with a Fazua motor like yours.) I ride with peddle biker groups with power low or off like you mentioned. I've also been surprised how much of a workout one can get on even a full power emtb if pushing hard, especially if riding terrain with elevation (e.g. mountains). My average heart rate for most ebike rides is 80-85% of max (average) for the entire typical 90 minutes and.....it's actually fun. My resting heart rate has dropped from mid 60's to high 40's in two years of assertive ebike riding. Best part is anyone can adjust the power level to what is comfortable for them and build up over time.
