I traveled to Richmond, V.A. today to check out the James River Park System trail as shown on Trail Forks here...

I rode this trail blind so didn't hit it quite as hard as I would have if I knew the trail better - Had a few surprise switchbacks with steep drop offs that came up quick! I'd say I did about 95 percent of this loop, I got off course a few times but it was marked for a race so fairly easy to navigate. I went on a BUSY weekend. I cut out most the hikers from the video but it was very crowded. It would be a lot more fun when it's colder or if I can make it out during the week day when foot traffic would be less.
I stopped in the Belle Isle Skills Park for a few min. It's great for beginners or anyone looking to up their bike skills. A small pump track, some skinnies, some small drops and a small jump line. Did some rock hopping out there (on foot) before I headed back.
Overall a beautiful ride and a good mix of everything. I'll be back when it's less crowded to really shred it!
