7:10 That camera angle gives me so much Simcity4 nostalgia. And I'm just so FASCINATED with that small Japanese town. The buildings, the way they're laid out, the streets. It even has character, can already imagine a Slice of Life Anime there.

Your skill in CS details and even video editing is just gorgeous! Congrats from Brazil =)
Really well done! I like how you also focus on small details like a small river, or a few houses. One thing I would suggest is adjusting the speed limit on twisting roads through the mountains, as the cars and trucks drive at high speeds through tight turns. Apart from that it's super good.

Interesting to see, I couldn't build anything like that. However, I am seeing one off ramp and one on ramp. I'm missing the second set really. :S
@RogueAmarice3 жыл бұрын
This is what stood out to me as well, but the original looks exactly like that. As an interchange, it really only services the north east directions. IANACE (I am not a civil engineer), but I believe this could be due to: 1) The fact that the Sanroku Bypass is exactly that, a (largely tunnelled) bypass of the busy Hyôgo and Nagata wards of Kôbe. The city is squished between the mountains to the north and the sea to the south, and it connects directly to Ôsaka in the east (hence the name *hanshin* for both cities, taking the second kanji of Ôsaka and the first of Kôbe). A bypass on the east west route is therefore very desirable, with very little northbound traffic from the city. 2) That leaves the traffic coming from the north, which should theoretically onramp towards the western as well as the eastern direction (the interchange only does the latter). This might be due to spatial constraints, as the interchange is located within a narrow gorge (see goo.gl/maps/Dw5AhansJcJZwLZp7 for a map view). The engineers might only have had enough space for one set of onramps, and settled for the one which serviced the most traffic.

A strange interchange that doesn't allow entry and exiting in both directions. But it looks marvelous as always.
@kckrimson99673 жыл бұрын
it's cause the sanroku bypass (which this interchange is based on) is as it sounds, a bypass. this bypasses parts of the crowded kobe city, and connects the central parts of the city to suburbs. the exits are only away from the city as you are coming from the city.
@molybdane72403 жыл бұрын
@@kckrimson9967 Thanks for pointing this out. I'm used to seeing intersections that go everywhere. I guess even the Japanese couldn't find the space for that here.

@edtacey22572 жыл бұрын
Ok am I missing something or is this interchange missing both exits/entrances from one direction? If you take the shot at @14:40 for example. Traffic coming up from the bottom of the screen can turn left but not right, and traffic come from the left of the screen can turn right but not left. Correct me if I've missed anything super obvious.
